Chapter 22 Stumbling into His Room
Although Megan didn't finish her sentence, Haven got the gist. Megan was known for her wild lifestyle and love for fun.
Haven blushed. "This doesn't seem right."
"Do you think you're any less than Alice? The Clark family is prestigious in Vachilit, while the Cullen family is just a small clan," Megan said disdainfully.
Haven, coming from a noble background and being a renowned cellist, couldn't let go of her pride. She shook her head and said, "I'd rather not."
Megan pouted in dissatisfaction.
Then she seemed to understand and leaned in mysteriously. "Haven, if you keep hesitating, it'll be too late once he marries Alice. If you're too shy, I'll help you."
With that, Megan quickly left. Haven opened her mouth to call her back but ultimately held onto a glimmer of hope and let her go.
Meanwhile, Natalie had been searching for Bella at the party for a while but still couldn't find her. Unaccustomed to such gatherings, she decided to give Bella a call.
"Hey, Bella, where are you?" Natalie asked on the phone.
Bella replied, "I'm in room 203, playing cards with some friends. Wanna join?"
The music was too loud, and Natalie only caught the word "room." She headed to the second floor. "Which room are you in?"
Bella said something, but before Natalie could ask for clarification, her phone died.
She shook her head in frustration, put away her phone, and pushed open the door to room 204.
The soundproofing was excellent; she could barely hear the party's noise downstairs.
The room was dimly lit. "Bella?" she called out, taking a few steps forward.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of a key turning in the lock.
Natalie quickly turned to open the door but found it locked.
Outside, a guy with a key walked to the end of the hallway and wrapped his arm around a waiting woman. "It's done."
Megan smirked. Haven was just pretending to be pure. She wanted it but acted all high and mighty in front of her.
Inside the room, Natalie had no idea what was happening.
She banged on the door and shouted for help, hoping someone would hear her, but the party's loud music drowned out her cries.
A strong scent of incense filled the air.
Natalie felt strange all over.
She thought, 'What's going on? Why do I feel like this all of a sudden?'
Out of nowhere, a strong arm wrapped around her waist from behind, pinning her down. She looked up to see a clear, handsome face. It was Adrian!
What was he doing here?
Before she could think it over, Adrian flipped her over, his hot, dry hand gripping her waist. His scorching kiss pressed down on her, her lips soft and sweet like cherry blossoms.
Adrian's body tensed, and his eyes grew darker. In his vision, her fingers, like soft vines, wrapped around his neck as they reached the peak.
"Adrian," she softly called out.
