Chapter 1068 Many People Want to See her Fall
"I know, thanks, Samuel."
Natalie slipped back home, trying not to wake Adrian. She tiptoed to the guest room and hopped in the shower, scrubbing off the lingering booze smell.
The entertainment biz was a jungle, and she'd been cruising through it too easily. But even with the bumps now, she wasn't about to let it get her down. She was all about moving forward, no looking back. She wasn't into bullying or scheming, but if she found out who was spreading those nasty videos, they were in for it!
Fresh out of the shower, Natalie bumped into Adrian as he walked in. The tension in his eyes melted when he saw her. "You're back."
"Adrian." Natalie walked over, her hair still damp and a bit messy. She melted into Adrian's arms, feeling a warmth and safety she'd never felt before. She hugged him tight, and he hugged her right back.
"It's okay. Don't let those things get to you."
"I won't." Natalie just couldn't shake the feeling. She'd never meant to hurt anyone. Sure, she got scripts through Dynamic Entertainment, but she always gave it her all, and the audience loved the results. Her acting was solid, but there were still haters doing shady stuff behind her back.
"Are you tired? We can hit the sack early, or if you're up for it, we can catch a movie in the home theater downstairs," Adrian suggested.
Natalie shook her head. "I'm not tired."
She was beat but couldn't sleep.
Meanwhile, Juniper, after posting the video, slapped on a face mask and lounged in bed watching TV. A friend from the industry called her up, "Did you hear about Natalie and Samuel? Looks like they're a thing, but Natalie's married. Is that cheating? It's blowing up! They even had dinner together tonight. You were with them at the interview today, notice anything? Facebook's on fire with this. Neither of their teams has said a word, so it must be true. Maybe the paparazzi posted the video because they didn't get the cash they wanted? Doesn't add up. With a video like that, even if they asked for a billion, Natalie would've paid. Otherwise, her rep's toast."
Juniper replied, "I didn't really notice. Is it that bad?"
Juniper just wanted to mess with Natalie and logged out after posting the video to chill with some TV. Hearing her friend now, she quickly grabbed her phone and checked Facebook. The trending topics were all about Natalie, and every major platform was buzzing. Juniper started to freak out; she hadn't expected it to blow up this much. She quickly deactivated her account.
After chatting a bit more, Juniper asked, "What do you think their PR move will be?"
"Who knows? But I think Natalie's done for. She's been too high-profile lately. Even Wendy from the same company can't keep up. Too many people want to see her fall."
