Chapter 470 You Think a Lot
Natalie shot a look at Traylor. "Why can't I be here? Your family own this hospital or something?"
Traylor was caught off guard.
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you and Jagger split? You're a heart doc, so what's up with you being in the kidney ward? The heart ward ain't even in this building, right?"
Traylor snapped back, "Where I go ain't your business."
"So why do you care that I'm here? Dr. Kroger, you're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong." Natalie turned away, feeling a bit exasperated.
Traylor stomped her foot and yelled, "Natalie, I know you're here to bug Jagger! Did you mess up our relationship?"
Traylor's shout drew everyone's attention in the already crowded ward.
Natalie bit her lip, feeling a bit helpless. Thank goodness Heather wasn't with her, or she'd have something to say too.
Natalie smirked, "Dr. Kroger, you've got quite the imagination."
With a bit of makeup and sunglasses perched on her nose, Natalie peered through the lenses and saw the raw jealousy in Traylor's eyes.
Jealousy in a woman was easy to spot.
Traylor spat, "Imagination? If it wasn't for you, why would Jagger dump me? Everyone knows we're the perfect pair at the hospital. He had no reason to break up with me. It has to be you!"
"Dr. Kroger, you're pretty full of yourself. Ever think maybe he just doesn't like you?" Natalie really didn't want to get into it with Traylor. "Why don't you go ask Jagger if he likes you? Bugging me is a waste of time. I have a boyfriend, and we're super happy."
Traylor's face went pale.
The crowd around them kept growing.
A nurse walked over. "Natalie, you should go." She seemed to know Traylor liked to stir up trouble, so she whispered to Natalie, "Don't pay her any mind."
Natalie nodded. Just as she was about to leave, she heard Traylor shout, "Mrs. Teeger, you're Natalie's mom, right? You should know your daughter is messing with my relationship and stealing my boyfriend. Do something about it."
Rosalie heard the ruckus and came out. Traylor immediately asked her about it. With an IV drip in her hand, she was momentarily stunned by Traylor's words.
Natalie couldn't believe Traylor, a doctor, would throw her image out the window like this. She clenched her fists and slowly turned around, lips tight.
Rosalie looked at Natalie, guilt all over her face. She hadn't expected Natalie to visit after knowing the truth. She took a few steps forward. "Natalie."
Natalie said, "Go back to your room."
Traylor sneered, "Can't handle the truth?"
Doctors and nurses started gathering, whispering about the drama. Hospital gossip was a rare treat.
A nurse quickly came over to break up the crowd. "Everyone, back to your rooms. Don't block the area."
Natalie glanced at Rosalie and called out to an orderly, asking her to take Rosalie back to her room.
Rosalie watched Natalie's back, eyes full of worry. But right now, it seemed she had lost the right to stand by Natalie's side.
