Chapter 483 Misjudged Someone
Instead of becoming the future mistress of the Howard family, Alice ended up messing around with the butler's kid!
Karen was kicking herself for betting on the wrong person by choosing Alice.
She thought about Mindy, who was killing it at Dynamic Entertainment Media, and let out a big sigh.
From day one at Dynamic Entertainment Media, she had been in this low-key and high-key rivalry with Mindy.
She never thought she'd end up losing. No way she was gonna just accept that.
Staring at the video on her phone, she was about to delete it but then hesitated. She thought, 'Nah, better keep it. This might come in handy later.'
Karen quickly made a backup and saved it on her phone.
The Cullen Mansion.
Curtis's car rolled to a stop.
He marched into the living room and looked around. "Where's Natalie?"
Wasn't Natalie supposed to be here?
In the living room, only Avery was lounging on the sofa, sipping coffee. She sneered at the maid, "Toss out that coffee cup the tramp used. It's grossing me out."
Curtis shot Avery a frown at her words.
Looked like Natalie had been here and bailed.
Avery eyed Curtis, clearly knowing he had rushed home because of Natalie. Her voice got even nastier. "Hurry up and disinfect this place. Rosalie's sick, and her kid's sick too. I don't want their germs all over our house. Disinfect everything!"
Lizzy and Amy quickly ducked their heads and started cleaning. Curtis just sighed at Avery's behavior.
Ever since Alice got out of the hospital, he had agreed with Avery to put up with things for their daughter's sake. Truth be told, he had long wanted to bail from this house.
Avery had become a total nightmare.
Curtis headed upstairs to his study without saying a word to Avery.
Avery watched Curtis go upstairs and stomped her foot!
She took out her anger on the two maids. "Useless! Why are you so slow at cleaning? Move it!"
She barked at Renee, "If these two can't do their job right, call the housekeeping company and get some people who can!"
Avery was fuming, and Renee, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, quickly nodded.
Avery sat on the sofa for a bit, seeming to cool down, and asked, "Where's Alice? Where did she go?"
Renee had no clue either. She had looked everywhere and asked Amy, "Amy, you helped Ms. Cullen downstairs. Did you see where she went?"
Amy's voice shook, scared Avery would blow up again. "I just helped Ms. Cullen downstairs. She said she was heading to the greenhouse in her wheelchair."
But there was no one in the greenhouse. Even though the three-story villa had nine rooms and two storage rooms, it wasn't that big. They had searched everywhere.
Avery stood up. "Find her carefully. Alice has trouble walking and needs to be looked after!"
Renee quickly nodded.
Avery grabbed her bag, ready to leave. She didn't want to stick around and argue with Curtis. Even though she had a bad temper and often caused a scene, this house was still the Cullen's. If she really ticked off Curtis, it wouldn't be good for her either.
Avery's eyes turned icy. "Who tipped off Curtis? Step forward!"
No maid dared to step up.
Renee jumped on Avery's authority. "So someone snitched to Mr. Cullen, huh? I was wondering why he suddenly came home from work. Do you girls think you're getting paid too much?"
Avery left Renee to handle it and turned to leave.
Renee plopped down on the sofa, acting like she owned the place.
