Chapter 1096 Dosen't Matter
Bella grabbed Liliana's phone and checked out the news about the incident.
The latest update was from two weeks ago.
Natalie had woken up, but Adrian was still in a coma.
Avery, the one responsible, got seven years in prison.
Bella's hand shook as she held the phone, never imagining this would happen.
Bella always knew Natalie had it rough growing up in the Cullen Mansion, with Avery constantly beating and scolding her. But she never thought Avery would go this far. It seemed like Avery had lost it and planned this all along.
She scrolled through older news and found footage from the car accident that day.
She clicked on a video from the dashcam of a car behind Avery's.
Avery's car sped up and slammed into Adrian's car from the side, smashing through the guardrail. Adrian's car rolled off the bridge and plunged into the lake. Bella's heart raced as she watched.
There were tons of related videos. The whole bridge got shut down because of the sudden incident. Cops set up barriers, and rescue teams, firefighters, and medics all showed up. The place was packed with people, many recording videos.
Bella's lips turned pale, and she gripped the phone tightly.
She was stuck here, cut off from the outside world, with no way to communicate. This incident had happened a while ago, and she was just finding out. If not for this random chance, she might have stayed here like a puppet, knowing nothing.
Even Natalie had an accident, and she didn't know.
Bella made up her mind; she had to get out of here.
Taking advantage of Liliana's distraction, Bella used the phone to call Nicholas.
She usually couldn't see Nicholas, and he showed up without any pattern.
Liliana tried to stop Bella.
But surprisingly, the call went through.
Bella held the phone. "It's me. When can you come back? I want to see you."
A woman's voice came from the other end.
"Who are you? Do you think you can just see Mr. Reynolds whenever you want? Who do you think you are?" The woman's voice was sharp. "Mr. Reynolds is busy and doesn't have time to see you." Then she hung up.
Stunned, Bella looked at the phone. She hadn't dialed the wrong number.
And it was definitely a woman's voice on the other end.
A sharp pang shot through Bella's chest, but the feeling vanished as quickly as it came.
She pressed her lips together, thinking, 'Nicholas always says I'm his wife. But now, while I'm pregnant and just woke up from a coma, he's with another woman. How ridiculous. But it doesn't matter to me anymore.'
Liliana took the phone. "Mrs. Reynolds, Mr. Reynolds might be busy with work. After all, he works in an entertainment company and has many signed actresses."
Bella slowly raised her eyes. "Liliana, why bother explaining for him?"
Whether it was an actress or other woman, Bella didn't care. Leaning against the bed, she said to Liliana, "I'm tired and want to rest. You can go now."
Liliana said, "Mrs. Reynolds, you just woke up, and the doctor said you should stay calm. I'll find a way to ask Kade about your friend's situation and then come back to tell you."
