Avery looked at Alice; this was the daughter she carried for ten months and had a tough birth with. She couldn’t truly blame Alice. Alice was too naive, always getting played by that Natalie.
Avery said, "Alice, be careful next time."
Alice leaned on Avery’s shoulder. "Mom, I know I messed up. I bought that necklace for you. I blew all my living expenses just to get you a gift to make you happy."
Avery held Alice’s hand. "Alright, I’m not mad anymore."
Alice said, "Then I’ll find a time to go to Rosalie and get the necklace back." After all, if Alice asked Rosalie for it, Rosalie would definitely give it back.
