Chapter 154 Why So Angry

Adrian lifted her and walked forward in big strides. When he reached the door, he said to Colby, "Handle these people."

"Got it."

Colby glanced at David, who was lying on the ground in pain like a fat pig and kicked David. "Why did you offend Adrian?"

In the hospital, the doctor urgently treated the wound on Natalie's forehead, then turned to the cold-faced Adrian beside him and said, "This young lady's injury is not serious, but she has stitches on her head and needs good care. She should wake up tomorrow."

"Sir, you have a wound bleeding on your back." The nurse, while packing up the suturing tools, suddenly saw a seeping bloodstain on Adrian's silver-gray shirt.

Adrian seemed not to feel any pain.

The nurse said, "Sir, let me take care of it for you too."

The wound on Adrian's back was not long, but it was somewhat deep. The nurse suggested giving him an anti-inflammatory injection. Adrian raised his hand to touch his forehead, and his gaze remained on the hospital bed.

Natalie's face looked very haggard.

Her face was already small, but now it looked even smaller, wrapped in a large piece of gauze.

Adrian didn't know what he was feeling at that moment.

Was he angry?

Of course, he was angry. Adrian saw David had harmed Natalie, and he was so furious that he wanted to kill David.

Why was he so angry?

Adrian tightly pressed his thin lips together.

In Adrian's heart, a strange emotion that he felt was increasingly obvious.

Adrian surprisingly cared a bit about Natalie.

Adrian closed his eyes to rest.

Suddenly, he heard Natalie's faint murmurs, "Don't... don't..."

He opened his eyes and found that it was already early morning.

Natalie seemed to be trapped in a nightmare, her face very pale, with fine beads of sweat on her forehead. "No, no..."

"Wake up, Natalie, open your eyes!"

Suddenly, a deep voice cut through Natalie's nightmare.

Natalie seemed to be in a fog but suddenly found a direction.

Natalie opened her eyes.

Her gaze fell on Adrian's face.

Natalie's pale lips trembled. "Adrian."

Her eyelashes also trembled. "Is it really you?"

Natalie had a long dream, and before she dreamed, she seemed to see a huge halo with Adrian walking toward her in the light.

"If it's not me, who else could it be? Do you think it's your ex, Jagger?" Adrian sneered.

Natalie propped herself up on the bed, leaning against the headboard. "How did you come here?"

"Didn't you call me?" Adrian asked.

Natalie's lips moved slightly.

The call she made in a panic actually dialed Adrian.

"Mr. Howard, thank you."

This sentence came sincerely from Natalie.

A smile appeared at the corner of Natalie's lips.

It was like the sun in the sky, radiating light.

Adrian was stunned.

"Thanking me requires sincerity."

Natalie seemed not to hear what Adrian said, "I feel so dizzy, so tired..."

As she spoke, she curled up under the blanket like a cat and closed her eyes.

"Mr. Howard, good night!" she said before drifting off.

A smile appeared at the corner of Adrian's lips.

'Good night,' he answered her inwardly.

Adrian sat on the companion chair and also closed his eyes. There was a hint of sweet fragrance in the air, the scent lingering on Natalie, and he felt that this was more effective than any sleeping pill.
