Chapter 1199 Andrea Did It on Purpose
Natalie was her biggest competitor.
Not only Adrian, but also Ruben's affection, she had to win back.
"Jamie, I know I was wrong," Andrea sobbed softly. "I'm sorry, Jamie. I was in a coma for seven years and just woke up. I might be a bit unfamiliar with the world now. I didn't mean to target Natalie. I know I was wrong."
Andrea softened, her beautiful eyes filled with tears as she looked at Jamie. "Jamie, once I get better, I'll go apologize to Natalie. I'll say sorry to Adrian too."
First, she would admit her mistake, then plan for the long term.
After all, she was the victim. Drinking the kiwi juice could be explained as her own carelessness, forgetting her allergy, not intentional.
As long as she admitted her mistake and softened, Jamie would definitely help her.
Jamie held her, pleased to see Andrea taking the initiative to apologize. Andrea was still inherently kind. Today's incident could be seen as a misunderstanding.
"You don't need to go out of your way to apologize to her. Natalie won't take such a small matter to heart. It's enough that you know you were wrong. From now on, stay at the Lawson mansion. If you want to go to the Howard mansion, I'll take you there every week."
Andrea nodded in his arms.
But her eyes slowly darkened.
Jamie's tone seemed very familiar and understanding of Natalie.
Had Jamie also taken Natalie's side?
The Howard family.
In the living room, Natalie rubbed her temples. "Is Ms. Lawson seriously ill? Should I go to the hospital to check on her?"
Ruben said, "It's not serious, just an allergy. Andrea has been frail and sickly since childhood and is allergic to kiwis and peaches. The first time she had an allergic reaction as a child, it scared me to death. She just took a bite of a peach and got itchy all over, but it wasn't serious. Since then, we knew she was allergic to peaches. Even in summer, when she wanted to eat peaches, we didn't dare give them to her. She was a pitiful little thing back then."
Natalie said, "I'm sorry, I didn't know. Violette prepared two glasses of juice, one kiwi and one orange. I drank the orange one, and she drank the kiwi one. I didn't expect her to be allergic."
"This isn't your fault, Natalie. You don't need to blame yourself too much," Ruben said. "After all, you couldn't have predicted her allergy to kiwis. If she was allergic, why did she drink it?"
Natalie lowered her eyes.
She understood that Andrea did it on purpose.
Andrea left her house, went to find Ruben and Adrian, and then fainted and was taken to the hospital.
To outsiders, it would all seem like her, Natalie's, fault.
At this moment, Adrian walked in. Seeing Ruben and Natalie in the living room, he walked over.
He glanced at Natalie and said to Ruben, "Andrea is fine. She woke up. The doctor said it's just an allergy. She just needs to stay away from allergens and take her medication."
Ruben nodded.
He said to Adrian, "You can't blame Natalie for this. After all, Natalie just got married and hasn't spent much time with Andrea. She didn't know about Andrea's allergies."
Adrian nodded. "I understand."
"Good, as long as you understand. Adrian, you and Natalie can go back now."
Natalie stood up.
After Ruben went upstairs, she pressed her lips together and glanced at Adrian, wanting to say something. Adrian seemed to have something to say too.
Their eyes met, but neither said a word. Adrian turned and walked ahead, with Natalie following behind.
