Chapter 670 Selfie

"Natalie, I swear, I didn't rat you out. I kept a lot of stuff from Mindy and never told her anything of note," Yvonne said, her voice shaky. She had no clue how Natalie found out or if she always knew. Yvonne couldn't even look Natalie in the eye, feeling all kinds of nervous. She'd been wrestling with this guilt for a while, hating the idea of lying to Natalie, who was always so good to her.

Yvonne had worked with a bunch of celebs before, and most of them treated their assistants like dirt. But Natalie treated Yvonne like a friend.

"That's why I haven't kicked you to the curb," Natalie said, her voice soft but a bit raspy. "Yvonne, if you had spilled everything to Mindy, you'd be out of here already."

Yvonne just stared at the ground.

The food court lights were blinding. Natalie glanced at the neon signs and said to Heather, "Let's grab some grub and check out the place since we're here."

Natalie took a few steps, then noticed Yvonne lagging behind. She stopped and said, "Yvonne, if you wanna go with Mindy, I won't hold it against you. For now, we're still cool. So I don't see any problem with us having a meal together."

That night, they hit up a barbecue joint.

On the top floor of a low-rise building, there was this open-air BBQ spot with a railing, giving a killer view of the night sky and the bustling food street below.

Natalie wasn't big on spicy food, so she ordered some cumin-flavored stuff.

Heather pulled out her phone. "Let's snap a pic. You haven't posted a selfie on Facebook in ages. Gotta keep that engagement up. Post a little something every now and then."

Seeing them about to take a selfie, Yvonne got up and pulled a ring light out of her bag. Heather laughed. "Yvonne, you're a pro. Always ready with that ring light. You'll be a hit with other celebs in no time."

Yvonne smiled a bit. "I'm used to it, but Natalie doesn't really need it. Her skin's great, but it's kinda dark here."

Heather looked around. "Put it away. There are too many people. I don't wanna look like some attention-seeking influencer."

Yvonne said, "I'll block it. We're in the corner; no one can see us. It's too dark, and the pics will be blurry."

Natalie and Heather took a few selfies. With the ring light, their skin looked flawless and glowing. Without it, the photos had this dreamy, cool vibe.

Natalie posted on Facebook: [Today's selfie, before and after lighting. Shoutout to my agent and assistant for the lighting~]

She posted two pics, one with the lighting and one with that dreamy look.

The background was this endless night with some neon lights here and there.

Heather looked at Natalie. "You're so real. Who doesn't use lighting for pics these days? Wendy, when she was repping that cosmetics brand, had bodyguards holding ring lights for her on the red carpet. Some people laughed, but others thought as long as she looked good, who cares?"

Fifteen minutes after Natalie posted on Facebook, there were already two thousand comments.

[You're stunning even without lighting! Gorgeous! This dreamy look is absolutely killer!]

[Are you filming and having dinner, babe? Can't wait for your Rising Winds!]
