Chapter 633 Cheap Pearls

Bella moved fast, snatching the velvet box right out of Alice's hand. She popped it open, revealing a pearl necklace. "A pearl necklace? Seriously? This is so old school."

"Give it back! What are you doing?" Alice jumped up, looking all flustered, and tried to grab it back.

Bella smirked, "It's just a pearl necklace, and a pretty outdated one at that. Alice, is this what you got for Rosalie? I saw on the trending news that you're tight with Natalie. Thought you had better taste. This is way off."

"None of your business! Hand it over!" Alice lunged for it, but Bella held it high, standing on her tiptoes.

Rosalie watched them, tried to step in, but it went futile.

The reporter was stunned, not expecting this kind of drama.

Another journalist, who was still rolling, stumbled over for a better angle.

Alice glared at the journalist. "Why are you still rolling? Help me out!"

The journalist, holding the camera, looked at Bella. "Ms. Swan."

Bella looked at Alice, smirking. "Why would the journalist I brought help you?"

Alice's face went pale, like she'd been hit by a truck. "What did you say? You brought them?"

"Yeah, I brought them." Bella crossed her arms. "Got a problem with that?"

Alice was floored, her face going even whiter. She always thought these journalists were on her side.

She never saw this coming. It was a disaster.

Bella's journalist had the whole thing on camera.

If this got out, Alice was toast.

Bella glanced at the pearl necklace in the velvet box. Honestly, a $2,000 pearl necklace wasn't cheap. As a gift, it was a nice gesture. But Alice was being a jerk. She bought an expensive diamond necklace for her mom, Avery, and then casually picked Rosalie a $2,000 pearl necklace.

She even posted on Facebook about her good care of Rosalie to get attention and likes. It was gross.

"Alice, I know what you're up to. You think you can fool Rosalie with a cheap pearl necklace? She doesn't care about your trashy gift." With that, she tossed the jewelry box into the trash can right in front of Alice.

Alice stomped her foot. "Bella!"

Rosalie, lying on the hospital bed, watched them argue. She tried to calm Bella down. "Alright, Bella, I'm fine. I'm just happy you both came to see me." Rosalie glanced at the trash can, wanting to get up and retrieve it. After all, it was the first time Alice had given her something.

Bella stopped her. "Rosalie, Natalie gave you the necklace around your neck, which is worth over $60,000. The one in the trash can is just $2,000, no big deal."

Rosalie was shocked by the amount, "What? Over $60,000?" She touched the necklace around her neck. "That's too much."

"Of course, Natalie gave you the best," Bella said, throwing shade at Alice, "Unlike Alice, who comes with a camera and journalists to put on a show and post online. People who don't know would think she treats you so well."

Alice looked at the journalist behind Bella and started to panic.
