Chapter 561 Turmoil
Yvonne stood in front of Natalie, sweat dripping down her face. "Natalie, you gotta get upstairs, like, now."
Yvonne turned to the reporters. "Enough with the questions. Security, get over here!"
A bunch of security guys from Dynamic Entertainment Media's back door rushed over, forming a wall between Natalie and the reporters, guiding her inside. Natalie pressed her lips together, staring at the pushy reporters with their hungry eyes. She clenched her fists tight.
"What do I even need to say?" Natalie scoffed. "Why you're blocking me here?"
Natalie smirked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You just wanna know if that's me in the photo, right? Why do you care? Is the guy in the photo your husband or your dad? If it's not me, it's none of your business, either. If you wanna be good reporters, this ain't the way. Celebrity gossip is just a flash in the pan. Why don't you cover the two pregnant women who died in that car crash on Maple Street? Or the child abuse case in Cloud District? Or how about the director Michael at Greenfield Nursing Home putting glue in the elderly's food? Why aren't you all over those stories?"
Natalie's voice rang out clear.
The reporters went silent, totally caught off guard.
Rose, holding a mic, turned beet red.
Rose hadn't felt this embarrassed in ages. She came for the scoop, thinking she'd expose Natalie's scandal. But now, she felt like a fool, while Natalie, rocking a silver-gray tracksuit, sunglasses, and a fisherman's hat, smirked at her like she was a joke.
Rose gritted her teeth, her hands shaking as she held the mic.
She shot back, "Yeah, you're right, but as a celeb, you got fans who look up to you. Instead of being a role model, you're out there doing gross stuff with multiple guys. Natalie, don't you owe your fans an explanation? Dodging us and hiding out, that's just unprofessional!"
Other reporters chimed in, "Yeah, our job is to get the scoop, and we're dedicated to it. Social issues are for radio journalists; we're entertainment reporters, and there's nothing wrong with that! Natalie, as a celeb, doing outrageous and degrading stuff, you owe the public an explanation!"
Mindy and Heather, along with some others, came down from upstairs, quickly stepping between Natalie and the reporters.
Natalie and her crew made it inside.
They got to her studio, and Heather handed her a glass of water. When she touched Natalie's fingers, they were ice-cold.
Heather held her hand. "It's okay, the media's always like this."
Right then, [Natalie's First Appearance After Scandal] blew up as the top trending topic.
Tons of media outlets dropped videos, eager to get the scoop out, barely edited. Natalie's voice came through loud and clear.
In the video, Natalie stood out in the crowd, still shining.
Her red lips were kinda mesmerizing.
Her voice was clear, super unique, and totally recognizable.
