Chapter 1002 Specially Assigned Wild Rose
Adrian shot back a quick reply.
Later that afternoon, Rachel was cruising in her red sports car with Natalie in the passenger seat.
Natalie had never been in such a flashy ride before, and it definitely turned some heads. She closed her eyes, taking in the scent of wild roses that seemed to follow Rachel everywhere. Curious, she asked about the perfume.
The fragrance was new to her—rich but not overpowering, with some unique after-notes.
Rachel's voice floated on the wind. "This? It's custom-made by a secret perfumer. Smells good, right? If you like it, I can take you there. They can whip up a scent just for you, based on your vibe and looks."
"Thanks a lot."
"No problem. After all, you're my sister-in-law." Rachel coughed, "Well, not yet. You still need to pass a little test."
Natalie watched Rachel's expressions, thinking Adrian's sister was pretty adorable.
Rachel floored it. Suddenly, her eyes locked onto something. "Someone wants to race me?" She slammed the pedal down and told Natalie, "Hold on tight, I'm gonna race that car behind us."
Natalie glanced in the rearview mirror and saw a cobalt blue Maserati speeding up, clearly looking for a challenge.
The two cars quickly drew level, and Natalie could see the people in the other car clearly.
It was a group of young people—three, to be exact.
The guy in the passenger seat whistled. "Hey, Miss! Nice driving! What's your name? Add me on Facebook."
Rachel snorted and sped away.
But the Maserati wasn't giving up and quickly caught up.
Rachel smirked, adjusting her sunglasses with one hand. "You're not worthy of my Facebook."
"Big talk!" The guy laughed. "My boss likes you. You're giving us your Facebook!"
Rachel's car was a specially modified sports car, and she had put a lot of thought into it.
Even though Rachel was the youngest daughter of the Howard family, she had a thing for sports cars. She was a senior member of the Vachilit supercar club. With her stunning looks, bright red lips, and long, wavy coffee-colored hair, she exuded wildness. At home, Rachel usually played the good girl.
When the car finally stopped, Natalie unbuckled her seatbelt. It was her first time experiencing a car race, and it felt pretty good. She took a deep breath, feeling grounded again.
Rachel giggled, "You're the first person to stay so calm in my car. My friend Niamh almost cried the first time. She was screaming to get out as soon as we stopped. There's a teddy bear and a trash bag in the car, both for Niamh. She needs to hold the toy to stay calm, and if she feels sick, she can use the bag."
Natalie said, "You're quite thoughtful."
Rachel looked at her curiously. "Are you okay?"
Apart from her face being a bit pale from the wind and her hair slightly messy, Natalie was fine. "It was pretty awesome. It's also my first time in a sports car."
