Chapter 1037 Wendy's Breakdown

It was only been about ten days since Natalie and Adrian announced their engagement. During these ten days, Rebecca proactively contacted Natalie and took care of all the clothing arrangements. The wedding dress and suit were all custom-made by hand, with Rebecca personally selecting the popular designs and fabrics. And Rebecca even mobilized the chief designer from the headquarters to speed up the process, ensuring everything was completed within ten days.

Six custom suits were made for the groom, five wedding dresses for the bride.

The Vistalia-style wedding attire was sponsored by another top brand.

Rebecca said, "You're welcome. I didn't realize you were Adrian's fiancée. If I had known, we might have met and collaborated earlier."

"Ms. Henderson, I've sent you an invitation to my wedding with Adrian. Will you be able to make it?"

"Of course." Rebecca said. "I'll make sure to attend."

After hanging up the phone, Rebecca looked at the invitation in her hand, losing in thought. She picked up the invitation, with its champagne-colored embossed lettering. Inside, the invitee's name was handwritten. Rebecca's pupils dilated slightly; she was very familiar with this handwriting. It must have been written by Adrian himself.

Rebecca was actually a very weak and insecure person. Although she was a successful woman with her own brand, she was very fragile inside. She liked Adrian but didn't dare to confess, just hoping to get a little closer to him.

Rebecca knew clearly that Adrian didn't like her. If she confessed her feelings to Adrian, they wouldn't even be friends. So, she preferred to stay close to Adrian as a friend, rather than grow distant.

Now, Adrian was married with Natalie, and everything was over.

From now on, Rebecca and Adrian would only be business friends. Occasionally, during holidays, she might visit and chat with him for a bit.

Although Rebecca had let go, there was still one person who hadn't, and that was Wendy.

Ever since Wendy heard about Natalie and Adrian's engagement, she seemed to have a breakdown. She canceled all her work and locked herself in her villa.

Mira had tried to persuade her several times, but Wendy wouldn't listen.

Mira sighed, "Wendy."

Wendy murmured, "No wonder when I asked Adrian if he wanted to invest, he didn't answer me. It was because of Natalie. What's so good about this Natalie? How could he fall for her?"

"Wendy, stop thinking about it."

"Mira, you don't understand," Wendy said with a bitter smile. "I grew up with him. When we were kids, someone in my family even joked, 'Wendy, do you want to marry Adrian when you grow up?' I'm only a few years older than him. When we were little, I used to hold his hand and play and walk together."

Mira looked at Wendy in this state. When Alice and Adrian got engaged, Wendy still had her rationality. But now, with Adrian married with Natalie, Wendy seemed to have completely broken down.
