Chapter 1363 Touring Blue Moon Lake Together

She met Lauchelle here.

"Alright." The man didn't hesitate, his gaze drifting to the manor in the distance, shrouded in the night, before settling on the woman's delicate profile.

His eyes flickered with a hint of surprise. "I heard this place isn't for sale. The previous owner cherished this estate. I managed to give it to you, but now, with my memory loss, I can't figure out what reason I used to persuade the original owner."

Natalie smiled gently. "Why don't you take a guess?"

"Money? Or maybe power," Adrian suggested, unable to think of anything else.

"Not entirely. You moved Lauchelle with your emotions," Natalie's voice was like a clear lake flowing gently in the quiet night. "He said he hoped our relationship wouldn't end in regret like his did."

During this time together, Adrian found himself growing accustomed to the woman before him. Even though he couldn't remember, being with her felt like a slow-motion replay of old, warm, and comfortable times, free of pressure or discomfort.

It was as if they were an old married couple, perfectly in sync.

The man took her hand and finally said, "Natalie, the doctor said I could undergo surgery."

Natalie was taken aback.

She looked at Adrian.

The two of them were in the car.

The interior lights were off, but the streetlights outside shone brightly.

She looked at the man's face, half in shadow, half in light.

It was as if one side was compassionate, the other indifferent.

She heard Adrian say, "I want to give it a try."

Natalie instinctively tightened her grip.

She realized the man had already been holding her hand.

Natalie clenched her fingers, holding onto Adrian's hand.

"Did you... did you get checked? How's the situation?" A craniotomy was dangerous, and Natalie didn't want him to get hurt again.

If regaining his memory came at the cost of his health, putting him in danger, Natalie didn't want it.

"The doctor said they'll conduct a consultation and then develop a surgical plan for me." Adrian smiled faintly. "Don't worry."

"Adrian," Natalie called his name, "I've thought it through. Even if you don't regain your memory, I'll stay by your side unless you want me to leave. Otherwise, I'll never go. What I want is for you to be healthy, not to regain your memory through dangerous means."

This was Natalie's heartfelt truth.

During Adrian's amnesia, Natalie had thought a lot.

She could accept this regret.

After that car accident, she had prayed to God, wishing only for Adrian to wake up, no matter what.

He woke up.

She was content.

Now, after some time apart, she had come to terms with it.

Being with someone you love is one of life's greatest blessings.

She was already very happy.

She and Adrian were no longer as awkward and distant as they were when he first lost his memory.

Now, he was willing to come to her side.

She was also willing to follow him step by step, accompanying his every move.

They got out of the car.

After the evening event, Natalie had changed into a different outfit, a cashmere coat over a black sweater. But stepping out from the warm car, she still felt a bit cold.

A cashmere scarf, carrying the warmth of the man, wrapped around her neck, even covering her cheeks.

Adrian tied a knot before letting go.

"Let's go. I want to take a walk and enjoy the manor's night scenery."
