Chapter 447 Jealousy

Harold was scratching his head, wondering what kind of dude would be good enough for Natalie.

He said, "Bella, if you ever need anything, just hit me up. My restaurant's always open for you."

Bella grinned. "With your place being so popular, I doubt there'll be any seats left for me."

Harold chuckled, "There'll always be a spot for you."

After Harold left, Bella turned to Natalie. "I think Harold's pretty solid. He busted his butt to open that restaurant, and it's doing great. You were kinda harsh turning him down; even I felt bad."

Natalie looked up. "You can wait for the Reynolds family's eldest son to kick the bucket and then go for Harold."

Bella rested her chin on her hand. "Not a bad idea, but I doubt Harold would be into me."

Natalie shot her a look. "The more you talk, the more hyped you get. Seriously, Bella, you've got so many guys chasing you, and you don't even give them a second glance."

"I know, I know. I regret not dating more back then. Now I'm about to marry a sick guy, and even if the Reynolds' eldest son dies, I'd have to wait three or four years before dating again. I can't just jump into another relationship right after he dies. My youth would be wasted," Bella sighed. "But hey, the Reynolds family promised me 6% of the shares, which is like seven or eight hundred million dollars."

"Wow, you'll be rolling in it," Natalie joked. "Don't forget about me when you're loaded."

Bella laughed. "I'll produce a movie for you. Just tell me what genre you like, and I'll make it happen. I'll invest and make sure you're the star!"

Natalie smiled, feeling all warm inside. "Thanks in advance."

Bella waved it off. "No biggie."

"By the way, why didn't you pick up Adrian's call earlier?" Bella pointed at the phone with her chin. "Did you guys have a fight?"

Natalie sighed. "I brought up getting barbecue, and he right away recommended the Howard Group's food court. I mentioned the owner's a college senior who used to pursue me, and he phoned instantly."

Bella was a bit taken aback. "You really said that? Aren't you worried Adrian will show up?"

Natalie shrugged. "He's in Verono."

Ten minutes later, Adrian, who was far away in Verono, called Natalie again. Bella picked up, "Sorry, Mr. Howard, Natalie's not back yet. How about you wait a few minutes, or I'll have her call you back as soon as she returns."

Adrian sat on the sofa, his knees bent. Opposite him, Gregory Long, his assistant in Verono, was going over the next day's schedule. Seeing Adrian's annoyed expression, he stopped talking.

Adrian said, "Then Ms. Swan, could you personally go to the restroom and hand the phone to Natalie, please? I'll make sure to thank you when I get back."

Bella glanced at Natalie and mouthed, "He wants me to find you and said he'd thank me."

Natalie knew she couldn't dodge it, so she nodded.

Bella coughed. "Well, I'm eating right now, but Mr. Howard, since you asked, I won't refuse. I know you're in Verono, famous for its gems. Shouldn't you be in Lundon? I heard there's a gem auction there tomorrow night.."

She stood up, took a few steps forward, then walked back and forth a few times before knocking on the table and handing the phone to Natalie. After all, Adrian was too sharp.
