Chapter 1302 This Doesn't Seem Like Adrian's Character
This doesn't seem like Adrian's character.
Natalie raised her hand and threw the ball far away. The corgi ran after it, looking quite adorable.
Natalie smiled, picked up her suitcase, and walked inside.
Upstairs in the study.
Adrian closed his laptop and rubbed his stiff neck.
Lucky was lying on the carpet, chewing on a toy.
Suddenly, Lucky stood up, wagged its tail, and barked twice excitedly before running out.
The study door was closed.
So Lucky pawed at the door handle, seemingly trying to open it but knowing it couldn't, so it sought Adrian's help.
Adrian had just finished his work and was ready to go to the bedroom to rest.
He stood up, walked over, and opened the door for Lucky. Lucky then ran out and quickly dashed downstairs.
Downstairs, Violette said, "Where are you going, Lucky?"
Since Adrian moved back to Bayview Villa, Claire felt that Adrian was too lonely by himself.
So Violette came along to Bayview Villa to take care of him, and Adrian agreed.
Downstairs, Adrian saw Violette still busy in the kitchen and said, "He probably went out to play with Rocky."
Rocky, the corgi.
This corgi was left to him by Colby.
Colby had broken up with his girlfriend, and the dog was bought by Colby's girlfriend. After the breakup, Colby left the dog with him.
Adrian originally didn't want to keep so many pets. Keeping Lucky was an accident in the first place.
Seeing that Lucky and Rocky got along well, Adrian decided to keep Rocky to accompany Lucky.
Although Lucky was big, it was very mindful of balance when with Rocky.
The big dog and the small dog quickly became familiar with each other, and Lucky soon considered Rocky its subordinate, protecting it when bullied.
Violette was still in the kitchen, cooking chicken breast for the two little ones.
Outside, Lucky's barking suddenly became frequent.
Violette looked outside, wondering what was happening.
Adrian also noticed something unusual. He went downstairs and walked out.
Outside, there was no one, and the two dogs were gone.
Not far away, Natalie was hiding in the flower bed, covering the mouths of the two dogs with her hands, as if signaling, "Let's play a game!"
Lucky's tail wagged excitedly.
It kept trying to jump into Natalie's arms.
Natalie smiled; she missed Lucky a lot too.
Lucky had gained quite a bit of weight. It seemed that in the month Natalie was away, Lucky had been eating a lot.
Adrian walked into the yard but didn't see Lucky.
He frowned slightly and called out in a deep voice, "Lucky! Rocky!"
Lucky heard its owner calling.
Excitedly, it wanted to rush out.
But Natalie held it back.
Natalie stroked Lucky's chin, and Lucky calmed down, seemingly understanding that Natalie was playing a game with Adrian.
Lucky couldn't help but whimper softly.
But Rocky didn't have such strong self-control.
As soon as Adrian called, Rocky ran out.
Natalie sighed. She had planned a surprise for Adrian, but now Rocky had ruined it.
She stood up and walked out too.
Adrian saw Rocky running over and bent down to pet Rocky's head. "Where were you hiding? Where's Lucky?"
After speaking, he looked up and saw Natalie walking out from the flower bed.
She was wearing a beige coat, standing about 30 feet away from him.
Moonlight fell on Natalie.
It seemed somewhat unreal.
Adrian's pupils slightly contracted. His face showed no expression, but at that moment, he clearly heard his heart start to beat faster.
