Chapter 792 Young and Promising

Rachel clung to Claire's arm, her lips pressed together. She knew how much Claire adored this kid. The last one was almost born, but they lost it to save Claire.

Claire said, "I don't think Alice would do something like that."

But then she remembered Adrian saying he never touched Alice, and her face went pale.

After Rachel left, Claire couldn't concentrate on her piano practice. She kept fiddling with her coral bracelet, trying to calm down.

Meanwhile, Rachel unpacked the gifts she brought back. She got Ruben a stand, Joe an art painting, Melissa a brooch, and had something for Adrian and Danie,l too.

But the most special gift was for Jamie.

Rachel pulled out her phone and checked Facebook, where Jamie was pinned at the top.

She clicked on his profile.

They didn't chat much.

Jamie never ignored her messages, but his replies were always short.

Rachel would ask a lot, and Jamie would reply with just few words.

Rachel thought for a moment and sent him a message.

Rachel: [Jamie, my birthday's coming up. Let's go out for dinner.] Maybe they could catch a movie after, like a date.

Ten minutes later, Jamie replied: [Okay.]

Rachel squealed and rolled on her bed in excitement.

Then she heard a loud knock on the door.

"Come in," she called.

A maid walked in and said, "Ms. Howard, the young master of the Newman family is here. Mr. Howard wants you to come over."

Rachel sat up and asked, "Which young master of the Newman family?"

"The second young master of Radiant Dawn Financial Group, Raymond. Mr. Howard set up a blind date for you."

In the living room, Ruben smiled at the young man next to him. Raymond was accomplished, capable, young, and promising. Ruben was very pleased with him.

Ruben thought Raymond was perfect for Rachel.

"Raymond, I heard you went to a branch office this year and started from the bottom. That's impressive. It's rare for someone young to have such determination," Ruben said.

Raymond had started at a Radiant Dawn branch a year and a half ago, working his way up from the warehouse. A month ago, he returned to take over Radiant Dawn Financial Group.

Ruben nodded, even more satisfied with Raymond.

He asked the butler to find Rachel.

Rachel didn't want to go on this blind date, but she couldn't refuse Ruben. She changed clothes and came over without makeup. She didn't care about impressing the Newmans; if they didn't like her, even better.

Rachel wore a white cotton dress with a brown jacket and walked in.

"Grandpa," she called.

She glanced at the man next to Ruben. Raymond wore metal-framed glasses and a black trench coat. He had a handsome face and an elegant yet roguish vibe. He crossed his legs and smiled politely when he saw Rachel.

Raymond stood up, smiling. "Hi, I'm Raymond Newman."

Rachel blushed a bit at his smile and coughed lightly. "I'm Rachel Howard."
