Chapter 1047 Devoured by Jealousy
Natalie and Jagger had been friends for ages.
She and Jagger had shared a time of happiness, a time when he had filled her life with warmth and light. She was grateful for those days, even though they were now just a memory.
Back then, Rosalie, Natalie's mom, was her only reason to keep going.
Jagger was Rosalie's doctor, and thanks to him, her health got better.
Natalie had leaned on Jagger a lot and was thankful for him. She walked over and softly said, "Dr. Kamel."
Jagger's hand shook, spilling some wine, as he looked up and saw a woman from his dreams standing there.
Natalie, in her Vistalia-style wedding dress, looked absolutely stunning.
Jagger stood up, his voice a bit shaky, "Natalie."
"Dr. Kamel, I thought you wouldn't come."
"Of course, I had to come to your wedding," Jagger said, looking at her. "You look amazing today."
"Thank you, Dr. Kamel."
"I've seen your movies, both of them. They're really good. Seeing you succeed makes me happy."
"Dr. Kamel, you're doing great too." Natalie turned and walked towards Adrian.
'I know I'll never feel the way again, the way I did when I first met Natalie. That kind of feeling only happens once. Natalie's a good person, pure and kind, and she's worked hard for everything she has. I should be happy for her. In the future, maybe she'll just be a memory,' Jagger thought.
"Dr. Kamel, what a coincidence to see you here." A company VP walked over, recognized Jagger, and greeted him with a drink.
Jagger recognized him as a former patient. "Yeah, I'm here for a friend's wedding."
"Mr. and Mrs. Howard are a perfect match."
Jagger nodded. "Yeah, they really are."
Natalie walked over to Adrian. They'd been busy all morning, but even though they were tired, they were happy.
Adrian got pulled away by two friends who insisted on getting him drunk.
"My friends are on a mission to get me drunk. I'll be back later, promise!"
"Alright, just for today, you can drink as much as you want."
Colby shouted, "Natalie, we promise to return Adrian to you in one piece, so he can make you happy. Let us have him for a bit."
Colby's loud voice made everyone in the hall laugh.
Natalie blushed a bit. "Alright, go ahead."
Adrian walked over to Colby. That table was filled with Adrian's close friends, and they took the chance to get him drunk.
The place was filled with laughter and joy.
But in a corner, Alice's face twisted as she watched everything. Her eyes were on Natalie, and her fingers clenched tightly.
