Chapter 526 Alice Refuses to Apologize
Karen leaned in, "So, what's this blogger got on you? You know her?"
Alice was fuming, tears streaming down her face. "How the hell would I know?"
She'd seen Rainbow trashing her, saying her love life was a train wreck, claiming she had a bunch of boyfriends back in school. If that dirt got out, she'd be toast; no way she could explain it to the Howard family.
And let's be real, a lot of folks knew about her past.
If it all blew up, she'd be in deep trouble.
Karen said, "If you wanna flip this mess around, you gotta listen to me, got it?"
Karen quickly got a pro PR team on the case.
Alice nodded. "Alright."
At this point, she'd do anything to fix this mess.
Karen said, "I whipped up an apology for you. Post it now and say sorry to Natalie."
"What?" Alice's voice went through the roof.
"No freaking way!" she yelled into the phone, "You want me to apologize to Natalie, a lowly maid? Not happening!"
On the other end, Karen almost chucked her phone. Alice was driving her nuts, but she kept her cool, knowing the Howard Group's power. "You gotta apologize to Natalie now. If you don't, this won't blow over. Right now, no one's got your back online. Even if she was just a maid for your family, she worked her butt off. You're being a snob!"
Karen went on, "People can't relate to a rich girl like you. Public opinion's all on Natalie's side 'cause she’s the underdog, working hard to get ahead. No one's gonna back a rich girl who drops thousands on a dress with a swipe of a card. You dissed Natalie first. If you want a shot at a better future, Alice, you gotta learn to say sorry."
Alice snapped, "Let 'em drag me then. I can apologize to anyone, but not Natalie! I didn't diss her enough. That lowlife tried to steal my fiancé and messed with my parents. I've hated her since we were kids."
Karen asked, "You say she went after Mr. Howard. Got proof?" If there was proof, they could blast it online and take Natalie down, and Mindy would lose her edge.
Of course, Alice had zilch.
Karen said, "Since you got nothing, I can't help you. Ms. Cullen, you should find someone else."
There was one more thing Karen didn't mention.
The reason everyone online was siding with Natalie, besides Alice's snobby attitude and the fact that no one could relate to a rich heiress, was that Alice and Natalie kinda looked alike.
But Natalie was drop-dead gorgeous, while Alice, after her illness, hadn't bounced back and had packed on some pounds.
The beautiful, hardworking, and ambitious Natalie was a total catch.
Meanwhile, Alice came off as the villain.
