Chapter 113 The Moon Goddess Will Protect You
"So annoying!" The bodyguard escorting her seemed somewhat impatient. But seeing her in obvious pain, he softened momentarily.
Natalie was undeniably beautiful. Despite her features shrouded behind a black veil, her essence exuded grace and elegance. Every strand of hair seemed to reveal her beauty.
Lowering her voice, she spoke with a touch of indulgence, "I'll just step into the restroom, I'll be quick. You can wait by the door; I can't escape anyway."
The bodyguard agreed upon a moment's reflection.
Natalie, with her sweet words and intentional tone of indulgence, put the bodyguard at ease instantly. He led her to the restroom door. "It's inside, go ahead, be quick."
"Thank you."
Natalie entered the restroom and removed her eyepatch to survey her surroundings. The restroom had no windows, only a ventilation duct. She took a black pen from her pocket and made a mark on the wall. As she prepared to leave, she heard a sound coming from the partition within the restroom.
Natalie halted her steps and slowly made her way to the door of the compartment, raising her hand to knock.
"Need any help?" she inquired, hearing some noise from inside.
Frowning at the lack of response, she decided to open the door directly, revealing a teenage boy inside.
The boy was dressed in the hospital gown of Everpeace Fifth Mental Hospital.
Her nerves were frayed.
Everpeace Fifth Hospital!
Indeed, the mental institution! So, Rosalie was truly hidden here by Avery!
"What's wrong?" Natalie bent down to look at the boy before her.
The boy seemed despondent. "Do you believe me?"
Despite knowing the boy had mental health issues, Natalie found it hard to resist when she saw his miserable expression.
She smiled. "Of course, do you want to tell big sister something?"
"My mom steals things outside, and she had another baby with someone else. She goes to see that baby every week. But when I told my parents, they said I was lying. No one believes me." The little boy appeared crestfallen, but then suddenly pointed behind Natalie, grinning, "Sister, there's a beautiful moon behind you."
Natalie hadn't expected the boy to speak those words.
Had his mother cheated and given birth to another child?
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Kevin."
Aware that she couldn't linger here for too long with Avery's security guard stationed outside, she told the boy, "There's a pretty moon behind you too, Kevin."
The boy's eyes lit up.
"You see my moon too?"
"I do, it's round and big."
After comforting the boy, Natalie left the restroom and was once again veiled in black before exiting the hospital.
Sitting in the car, she was one hundred percent certain that Rosalie was indeed being held at Everpeace Fifth Mental Hospital by Avery.
No wonder she hadn't been found.
After leaving the hospital, Natalie arrived at the Twin Plum Pavilion as agreed with Jagger.
Twin Plum Pavilion was a renowned Chinese restaurant in Vachilit, requiring reservations. They had some time before their reservation, so they waited in the lounge area.
Natalie sat on a carved wooden chair, her gaze lowered, exuding a sweet and gentle demeanor, with a touch of sophistication.
Jagger stole glances at her, his heart beating uncontrollably. Unable to hold back, he spoke, "Natalie, can I call you Natalie?"
Natalie smiled. "Of course."
Summoning his courage, Jagger said, "I like you, Natalie. Would you consider being my girlfriend?"
Natalie was taken aback. Raising her eyes with a luminous gaze, she looked at Jagger. It seemed like several seconds passed before she reacted.
