Chapter 789 Isn't He Already Dead?

Heather said, "It's getting late. I called a cab to take you to the hospital. Natalie paid for the caregiver. If you think it's overkill, I can cancel it. It'd be awesome if you could stay with Mrs. Teeger and take care of her. Also, don't you wonder why Mrs. Teeger's kidney failed so fast and she needs another transplant? Instead of grilling Natalie, you should ask Rosalie for the truth."

Jerry was just as confused.

How could a perfectly good kidney fail again?

It had already been transplanted once.

Listening to Heather, Jerry felt more suspicous of the whole story.

Jerry headed back to the hospital in a need to ask Rosalie.

It seemed like there were a lot of things Jerry didn't know.

Could Rosalie have really done something that hurt Natalie so badly?

Jerry couldn't believe that Natalie's relationship with Rosalie had gotten this bad. After all, if it weren't for Natalie, Rosalie would still be locked up in the mental hospital.

Natalie was a kind, dutiful, and understanding girl.

The elevator stopped at every floor.

A young man in a charcoal gray suit walked in. It was Raymond, who was on the phone. His mom had hurt her foot and was in the hospital for rest. So he came to take care of her. He watched the elevator numbers slowly rise.

Jerry was stunned and stared blankly at the side of Raymond's face.

Jerry thought, 'It's Ryan! No, Ryan is already dead, isn't he? I saw Ryan die with my own eyes.'

Suddenly, Jerry started trembling all over.

When the elevator reached the 5th floor, Raymond walked out.

Jerry, still trembling, followed him out.

Jerry stalked Raymond, watching him walk into a ward.

Jerry couldn't believe his eyes and kept telling himself over and over that Ryan was dead.

But the person in front of him looked so much like Ryan.

Could there really be two people in this world who looked so alike?

Jerry returned to Rosalie's ward.

Rosalie had just woken up. Seeing Jerry's dazed expression, she asked, "What's wrong?"

Rosalie thought it might be something about her own health.

In fact, Rosalie knew that ever since she got sick five years ago, she would eventually face a day like this. Rosalie felt she had wronged Stanley, Ryan, and Natalie and was a person full of sins in this world.

Jerry opened his mouth. After hesitating, he couldn't help but ask, "Rosalie, did you really see Ryan buried with your own eyes?"

Rosalie didn't expect Jerry to bring up Ryan. This made her already pale and weak face even paler.

Rosalie hadn't personally buried Ryan.

At the time, she was heartbroken and fainted several times.

She had hired a professional funeral team.

Rosalie felt she had wronged Ryan who could have survived.

Jerry said, "I just saw someone who looks a lot like Ryan."

Jerry knew about Rosalie's serious illness and the intensified conflict between Natalie and Rosalie. He hoped to use Ryan to stimulate Rosalie's will to live.

"Where? Are you sure?" Rosalie became excited. If Ryan was really alive, that would be more than wonderful!

Jerry replied, "So much alike. Does Ryan have any distinguishing marks, like a birthmark or mole? That person looks so much like Ryan. I've never seen anyone look so similar."

"Yes, Ryan has a birthmark on his back," Rosalie said. "Where is he? I want to see him."
