Chapter 1218 Leaving Tomorrow

Ruben stroked his beard, "I'll be there on time to watch tomorrow as well."

"Then we can't miss it either. We have to go and witness it, and also enjoy the excitement. After all, I've placed my bets too," Claire said, exchanging a glance with Melissa and laughing.

The atmosphere at the dinner table became lively.

After dinner, Natalie followed Rachel to her place.

As soon as they entered, they saw Lucky lying on the floor, looking dejected.

Upon seeing Natalie, Lucky excitedly stood up, making sounds as if it had been wronged.

Natalie hugged Lucky, "Alright, I know, I know you wouldn't bite anyone, right? I trust you, Lucky."

She spoke softly, gently rubbing Lucky's head.

Lucky seemed to understand that making too much noise would attract others who might lock it in a cage, so it whimpered softly, looking even more pitiful.

Natalie continued to soothe it with her gentle voice.

Adrian walked into the yard and entered the living room.

He saw Natalie, slender and crouched down, hugging a big dog and speaking softly as if whispering to the stars and moon.

He stood at the doorway, not entering, his gaze softening as he looked inside without realizing it.

Rachel was the first to notice Adrian.

"Adrian."

Adrian nodded and walked over.

Natalie stood up and turned to look at Adrian.

Standing in the light, Adrian's figure cast shifting shadows.

Lucky, seeing its owner, quickly ran over to nuzzle Adrian's leg, as if complaining.

Adrian bent down to pet the big dog.

Seeing Adrian remain silent, Natalie feared he might take out his anger on Lucky and quickly said, "Lucky probably didn't mean to attack Andrea. There must be some misunderstanding."

Rachel also quickly added, "Yeah, I don't believe Lucky would bite anyone. I can put my hand in Lucky's mouth, and it wouldn't bite me. Andrea has been staying at the Howard mansion for a few days now, and Lucky already knows her."

Adrian's gaze swept over Natalie's face. "I'll take Natalie back now. You should rest well too. Aren't you planning to go to Suncrest City tomorrow afternoon? Start packing early."

The two of them and the dog walked through the Howard family's garden.

Although an hour ago there had been some commotion at the Howard family, with Lucky biting Andrea and many servants and bodyguards trying to catch Lucky to lock it up, now, as the three walked by, no one tried to touch Lucky.

Lucky seemed to know it was out of danger and began wagging its tail happily.

Adrian walked in front.

Natalie followed behind, with Lucky walking beside her, occasionally brushing its tail against her leg.

Looking at Adrian's broad back, Natalie couldn't help but say, "Lucky didn't do it on purpose. There must be some misunderstanding."

"I know." Adrian stopped walking.

"You know?" Natalie had thought he would unconditionally side with Andrea.

Adrian seemed to sigh, "Lucky is my dog. I've raised it for so long; I know its temperament best. And Andrea isn't a stranger to Lucky. Lucky has no reason to attack her. But in the entire Howard family, Lucky is the only large dog, and the bite marks on Andrea's hand are indeed from a dog. Regardless of the misunderstanding, Lucky can't stay at the Howard family anymore. I'll take it back to Bayview Villa."

"My flight is tomorrow afternoon. I have to go to Suncrest City for filming, at least for three months, maybe four if the role is demanding."

Natalie didn't want to be away from Adrian for too long. Even though Adrian had lost his memory, she still wanted to stay in the same city as him for as long as possible.

"Yes, you're an actress. Filming is your job. Go ahead. Rachel is going for the first time and might cause you some trouble. If any issues arise, contact me immediately."
