Natalie shook her head. "Isn't that a bit much? The banquet hasn't even started yet, and we're already digging in."
Marshall just smiled. "Ms. Henderson thought of everything. She sent out invites with personalized gifts for each guest, including over 100 boxes of these fancy 'Starlight' macarons. They were all prepped in the kitchen, so it's not like we're spoiling any surprises. Just hang tight, they'll be ready soon."
Natalie smiled back. "Thanks a lot."
Marshall got serious. "No need to thank us. You're the owner here, and everything's set up for you."
Bella looked around, impressed. "Rebecca really went all out. Just look at this setup. With all the sponsorships, media buzz, and public hype, she's definitely got everyone's attention. And I heard you need to wear starlight-themed accessories or dresses to get in. Talk about high standards."
The kitchen soon brought out the "Starlight" macarons, perfectly sweet and leaving a delightful aftertaste.
Natalie took a bite. "You can tell Rebecca put a lot into this new product. Now there's this plagiarism accusation messing things up. It's hard to believe someone like Rebecca, who's been so successful, would let that happen."
Heather thought for a moment. "I heard there was an insider. Someone from a rival company working undercover as a manager copied the design. They even took elements from a famous luxury brand. It's a huge betrayal."
But these were just rumors. Since the news broke about Rebecca's new product being plagiarized, there hadn't been an official response. This socialite banquet had already grabbed public attention, and many were already biased against foreign luxury brands.
Heather figured this explanation was just a distraction. If a rival could easily plant someone in Rebecca's company, then all her hard work would be for nothing. It was basically Rebecca's oversight.
