Chapter 708 The Next Film

Even Victoria had to hustle for cash, let alone some ordinary entertainment industry artists and teams.

The next day, Victoria dropped a bombshell, saying she had a heart attack and was bailing on One Day. She even threw up a pic on Facebook of her in the hospital hooked up to an IV, and her fans were all over the comments, sending love and support.

Victoria's sudden exit from One Day blew up on social media.

A lot of people online thought Victoria was just using her health as an excuse to ditch the project because Alice's acting was trash. But since Alice was part of her crew, she had to come up with a reason.

She claimed it was just a temporary break, but everyone knew a movie shoot only lasted two to three months tops.

With a couple of months absence of Victoria in the hospital, it was pretty clear she was out for good.

Some folks had been hyped about One Day because it was supposed to be this epic visual feast with killer special effects. Now, with Victoria out and her assistant director taking over, they were pissed, especially since movie tickets weren't cheap.

The casting drama from the day before only added fuel to the fire.

People were already fed up with rich folks muscling into the entertainment world, and now their patience was gone.

A bunch of them said they were gonna boycott One Day and not waste their money on a crappy film.

But there were still a few die-hard fans holding out hope.

[Why call it a bad film? Victoria and her team spent three years perfecting the plot; it's gotta be good. I'm stoked!]

[Stoked? Who cares about a solid plot? Alice's acting is garbage. With her in it, this is gonna be Victoria's biggest flop.]

[Alice is the most controversial part of this movie!]

[Victoria probably bailed because of Alice's drama last night. Alice messed up the whole team. One Day was the movie I was most excited about.]

Victoria was chilling in the hospital, refusing any visitors. She didn't care about threats or people pulling their investments.

Natalie was also keeping tabs on the One Day drama.

But since it wasn't her movie, she didn't have a say. In the entertainment industry, one needed deep connections to stay afloat.

Natalie had snagged a role in Chris's new film recently.

She had other offers, but Chris's script really caught her eye.

Even though Chris was one of Esme's assistant directors.

After hanging out with him, Natalie realized Chris was super talented.

He didn't need Esme to shine.

The pay was just okay, and the shoot was gonna be two months in Vachilit.

Chris had already been setting up scenes in Vachilit these past few days.

Summer Time raked in $300 million at the box office in five days.

Honestly, that was pretty solid, especially since the main cast were all newbies.

But the character everyone was talking about online was Luna, played by Natalie, which totally surprised her.

Natalie took the role because it felt right. She really nailed Luna's vibe.

But the box office numbers were still a bit shy of Esme's previous hits.

The final box office prediction was $700 million, not bad, not a flop, but not a blockbuster either.

Esme was kinda shocked to hear Natalie had taken on Chris's film. "I've been in Vachilit working on a new script. We should catch up sometime."
