Chapter 680 Blocking the Drink for Her
Natalie and Oscar snapped a pic together.
That night, the crew snagged a private room for dinner.
Natalie had a bit to drink. She was a lightweight. After just a small glass of wine, her cheeks were all rosy.
A producer came over to toast. Natalie lifted her glass, but Samuel stepped in.
Everyone was kinda shocked and started to whisper.
After all, the leads had been working together for two months, so it wouldn’t be crazy if they were into each other. But it was the first time they saw Samuel blocking a drink for an actress, and everyone was curious.
Samuel gave a polite smile, all gentleman-like. "I'll take this one for her. Drinking is a man's job." His words sounded smooth and respectful.
There was no funny business, just him subtly taking the drink for Natalie.
After a few rounds, Samuel plopped down next to Oscar, sneaking glances at Natalie. She was resting her chin on her hand, looking all glowy and peaceful, with her cheeks still pink from the booze, like peach blossoms.
When the wrap party wrapped up, Heather helped Natalie back to the hotel. They were heading out the next morning.
Natalie flopped onto the bed; a little booze wasn’t enough to get her wasted. But her cheeks were still a bit warm.
Heather asked, "You wanna hit up the Summer Time press conference next week? Director Esme invited us."
Natalie nodded. "Yeah."
Esme was a big shot in youth art films, and Natalie needed that hookup.
Right then, Facebook's Rising Winds posted a wrap-up pic and video.
Tons of netizens were hyped for the show.
Heather also logged into Natalie's Facebook and shared the post.
[Can't wait to see Natalie as Zoey!]
[So excited for Natalie, go girl!]
[Wish I could watch it now, counting down to May 1st.]
Natalie's Facebook blew up, gaining 200,000 followers, bordering on 3 million.
Heather also posted a selfie from the wrap party.
The next day, Natalie jetted off to Vachilit.
As soon as she landed, Natalie turned on her phone, got online, and saw the top trending news on Facebook.
#One Day Starts Filming# #Victoria's New Movie Starts Filming#
Natalie pursed her lips. Losing her resources out of the blue, she was definitely pissed. After getting out of the car, Natalie didn’t head back to her apartment but went straight to the Dynamic Entertainment building.
Back in the lounge, Natalie hadn’t told Mindy she was coming today. Yvonne had been fired by Natalie the night before. As soon as Natalie sat on the sofa, she heard a knock on the door.
Natalie looked up at Heather and nodded for her to open the door.
Heather opened the door. "Mindy."
Mindy swaggered in, looking like she was about to become the VP of Dynamic Entertainment Media. She was surprised Natalie came to the company right after landing but didn’t take her seriously. "Natalie, why didn’t you tell me you were coming? You just wrapped up filming and should be resting."
Natalie smiled, took a sip of water. She had just arrived in the lounge, which was all hers.
She hadn’t been back for two months, and the place had gathered a layer of dust.
Mindy hadn’t even bothered to send someone to clean it.
Dynamic Entertainment Media had pro cleaners, but they couldn’t get into the lounge. The key was with Mindy, and it seemed like she hadn’t arranged for cleaning.
Natalie put down her cup, blew the thin layer of dust off the table, and said to Heather, "Get Mindy a cup of coffee."
