Chapter 1083 Willing to Give Everything

Natalie walked over to the bedside, bent down, and tucked Adrian in. Right now, she didn't care about anything else. All she wanted was for Adrian to wake up.

If Adrian could just wake up, she'd give anything, even her own life.

Two weeks later, Natalie was back to her old self, but Adrian had been in a coma for a month. Her daily routine was hanging out in the hospital room, chatting to Adrian, sharing funny stories, and giving him sponge baths with warm water.

Natalie gently wiped Adrian's handsome but gaunt face with a towel. He'd been out cold, getting alarmingly thin, his whole body pale and frail. Her fingers brushed against his dry lips. She stood up, bent down, and kissed his cheek.

A tear slipped from her eye, landing on Adrian's lips.

She didn't notice Adrian's fingers twitch slightly.

On Monday, Curtis called Natalie.

She saw Curtis's name flash on her phone screen and felt nothing. She hung up. Two minutes later, the phone rang again.

Natalie got up, asked the nurse to watch over Adrian, and stepped out onto the small balcony to take the call.

"Natalie, it's Curtis. I know I have no right to ask you for anything now. Avery and Alice have both hurt you, but Natalie, for the sake of the years you lived in the backyard of the Cullen Mansion and our ten-plus years of relationship, please help me. Beg Melissa to stop. The Cullen Group can't go bankrupt; it's my all effort."

Because of the car accident caused by Avery's deliberate attempt to murder, Natalie was injured, and Adrian fell into a coma.

Avery was locked up, and the Cullen Group was getting hammered by Melissa, now hanging by a thread.

Curtis's hair had turned gray with worry overnight. Even though he hated Avery's guts, there was no fixing things. He'd visited Avery in prison a bunch of times, venting his anger each time. He wished he could strangle her right there.

The Cullen Group was like a house of cards, ready to collapse. Employees were jumping ship, and shareholders were freaking out. This time, the Cullen Group was toast. Curtis was drowning in about three hundred million dollars of debt and was on the brink of breaking down. "Natalie, please help me. I know that if you speak up, the Cullen Group can be saved."

A faint smile played on Natalie's lips, so subtle it was almost invisible. "Mr. Cullen, if I had died in that car accident, who would you be begging now?"

"Natalie, I know this is all Avery's fault. I've already divorced her. Avery went nuts and tried to kill, but it has nothing to do with me. I would never hurt you," Curtis said.

"Mr. Cullen, I have never forgotten my father's and Ryan's deaths." Natalie's gaze turned icy. "If it weren't for your cowardice, they wouldn't have died. They died in your place, and I'll never forgive you for that. Your so-called kindness was standing by while Avery abused me and Alice tormented me. You only pretended to care after the fact. I hate your cowardice, and I hate Avery and Alice."
