Chapter 1370 Birthday Party on the Island
"This is the East District of Redwood Isle."
"You might not know this place well. Redwood Isle is huge, and the East District used to be called Frins International Island before it merged with Redwood Isle. But it still operates independently. Redwood Isle is split into four main areas, with the East and South Districts being the most economically powerful. The other two districts aren't as strong, but each one runs its own show.
Especially here in Frins. You should know that the First Lady of the East District is Kamille's mom. She's the youngest daughter of Sylvanor's leader, which makes Kamille's status super high. I heard Kamille's birthday party this time is even fancier than Rebecca's famous socialite gala. A friend of mine didn't get an invite at first, but I helped her out."
The woman talking was Raina Hill, a socialite Natalie knew. Her family was in the jewelry business.
Natalie had heard Bella complain about Raina before.
Thinking of Bella, Natalie's eyes grew somber.
She still hadn't found Bella.
Walking together, a few socialites around her were chatting.
"Raina, look, who is that? She looks so familiar."
"Seems like Claribel Baker. But I heard her dad failed to seize power. Kamille still invited her."
"If Kamille didn't invite her, maybe Claribel just crashed the party."
"Who knows? Once an international socialite, the daughter of the Vice President, Claribel, has fallen from grace. That's why our families in business are much more stable. But I heard Claribel married into another family, securing her future wealth."
Heather handed Natalie a shawl, draping it over her shoulders.
The island's climate was pleasant.
Warm and comfortable with occasional sea breezes.
The temperature was indeed different from Vachilit.
The group arrived at their accommodation.
A lavish seven-star hotel.
The evening birthday party would also be held in the hotel's banquet hall.
The twelve-story seven-star hotel was said to be the only one of such high standards on the island.
Its exterior was designed in a European castle style.
A blend of cream and brick red colors.
Walking inside.
The floor tiles were intricately patterned, giving the impression of stepping into a luxurious 18th-century European banquet hall, with a rich, vintage style.
"Ladies, here are your room keys. Please take them. You are all esteemed guests of Miss Kamille. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask."
Natalie's room was on the sixth floor, a themed suite called the Rose Garden.
Walking in, it was decorated in a rose motif, with a bouquet of pale pink roses on the white table. The air carried a faint floral scent, naturally pleasant.
The suite had two bedrooms, two living rooms, and a terrace, perfect for her and Heather to share.
From the terrace, they could see the ocean view outside.
Heather clicked her tongue, "Staying here for one night costs more than my monthly salary. Kamille's status is truly extraordinary. Those socialites envy her but don't dare to offend her. I overheard Raina and a few others talking about Kamille, saying she was born at the top of the pyramid. I could smell the jealousy."
Natalie sat on the sofa, "Where's Matilda?"
"She's on her way, should be here soon," Heather replied. "She's on the next flight."
