Chapter 782 Madam
To hire someone from the K organization, it must cost a fortune.
Derek shook his head. "I don't know about that. Maybe the jewelry store owner knows better. When I came back, I took a look at the jewelry store. The owner seemed panicked. He owns a jewelry store, so sixty million dollars is nothing to him. This gem might have more valuable aspects."
"I see." Natalie nodded, thinking Derek made a good point.
But none of this concerned Natalie. As long as those affected were safe, that was all that mattered.
The car steadily stopped at Natalie's apartment.
Natalie glanced at Derek.
Derek was actually quite good-looking, with hair slightly longer than a crew cut and a handsome face. The first time he came to be Natalie's driver, Natalie thought he was some carefree rich kid.
At this moment, Derek was covered in dust, but it didn't affect his attractiveness at all.
Natalie said, "You've had a long day. Go home and rest. I can go out by myself tomorrow, so you don't need to come and pick me up."
Derek replied, "That's not possible. Mr. Howard said I must protect you at all times."
"You are really rigid." Natalie sighed, "Then come pick me up at 9 AM tomorrow. I'll tell you where to go then."
"Okay."
Natalie went home and Adrian was already back.
When Natalie walked in, she suddenly heard an electronic voice.
It was the custom electronic home AI. "Mrs. Howard, welcome home."
Natalie was startled. She had always kept it off since moving in.
Adrian had just finished showering and walked out, shirtless and wearing shorts. His hair was dripping. "You're back."
Natalie walked over and asked, "Did you turn on AI?"
"Yeah."
Adrian walked to the door, opened it, and then closed it.
The AI chimed in, "Mr. Howard, welcome home."
Hearing these two titles, Natalie's cheeks blushed. "Did you set this up?"
When they first moved in, it only said "Welcome home," but Heather mentioned it could be customized. Natalie wasn't interested and just turned it off.
The titles felt like Natalie was Adrian's wife.
Natalie went to the bathroom to get a towel and came back to dry his hair.
Adrian was in the kitchen. He opened the fridge, seemingly contemplating what to cook for dinner.
Natalie walked over. She wasn't short, but next to this six-foot-tall man, she had to stand on tiptoe to dry Adrian's hair.
Natalie said, "Lower your head."
Adrian refused to lower it. So Natalie had no choice but to stand on tiptoe.
Adrian chuckled, "What should we have for dinner?"
Natalie replied, "Anything is fine. Whatever you can cook, we'll eat."
"I can cook a lot of things." Adrian said, and the towel covered his face.
Natalie clumsily rubbed his hair, and Adrian closed his eyes. She seemed to lose her balance and stumbled forward. Adrian immediately held her by the waist.
He lowered his head and teased, "You threw yourself into my arms."
Natalie pushed Adrian. "Go cook."
Blushing, Natalie tried to break free, but Adrian didn't let go.
Natalie pouted, "I have a headache and want to sleep for a while."
Adrian kissed her on the forehead before letting go. "Dinner in half an hour."
"Okay." Natalie responded and ran to the living room to watch TV.
Adrian shook his head indulgently, turned around, found Natalie's pink apron, put it on, and started cooking.
After watching TV for a while, Natalie smelled the aroma of food, which made her hungry.
Natalie couldn't help but go to the kitchen. "What did you make?"
Adrian said, "Go wait outside; there's a lot of smoke."
