Chapter 257 The Script
Natalie changed clothes and headed to the set.
She wore Alice's white dress, did her makeup, and used props to look pregnant.
When she was ready, Kevin explained the scene to her.
Amy King, played by Alice, was a pregnant woman fired for plagiarism. In this scene, she begged her sister, Angela King (played by Nora), not to fire her.
Natalie nodded. She was new to acting, but it didn't really matter as she was just standing in for Alice. Her face wouldn't be shown, but she practiced while waiting for Nora.
About fifteen minutes later, Nora arrived.
Nora, carrying an LV bag and dressed elegantly, was ready. Kevin said, "Nora, get ready, we're about to start."
Nora handed her bag to her assistant, took off her sunglasses, and glanced at Natalie. "She really looks alike." She assumed Alice found a look-alike to avoid risking her reputation.
Natalie didn't need to face the camera; the focus was on Nora.
Nora quickly got into character. She slapped Natalie. "I'll never forget who caused my mother's death. The child in your belly is Hubert Diaz's. You had an affair with my ex and now want me to keep you despite your plagiarism. Do you know how much trouble you've caused? I hope it doesn't affect our overseas shows."
Natalie's cheek turned. Kevin found the right angle, ensuring Natalie's face wasn't shown but the scene was clear.
Amy was a two-faced character. Her mother had a bad background and had an affair with Angela's father. After Angela's mother died, Angela's father married Amy's mother. Amy envied Angela and seduced her boyfriend, Hubert. After Hubert broke up with Angela, he got together with Amy, and she got pregnant.
Natalie took two steps back, pretending to be pushed. She protected her abdomen, and the camera focused on her hands. "Ah, Angela, how could you push me?" she cried out.
Nora said, "You fell on your own and now want to blame me? Amy, there are cameras here!"
A few lines and shots later, the scene was done.
Kevin nodded approvingly. "Not bad," he said, satisfied. These shots saved the scene from feeling abrupt.
Kevin said, "Natalie, come over for a few solo shots. Alice has two more scenes tomorrow. If she throws another tantrum, you can fill in, and we'll edit it in."
