Chapter 220 Adventure

Pearl Island was located at south of the hotel, about a 15-minute yacht ride away. Pearl Island was known for its pearl farming, but it also had plenty of undeveloped areas.

Loren Schneider, the event organizer, gathered everyone. "Alright, let me explain the rules and rewards for this adventure. We've hidden 'treasures' in the forest, and finding one gets you $300,000. I know most of you don't lack money; it's just for fun. Please search at the edges, and don't go too deep. The jungle's full of snakes, bugs, and rodents. Everyone should carry a medical kit just in case."

The attendees were wealthy and powerful, so the reward wasn't a big deal to them. But Loren had to keep them entertained and safe.

But these people didn't care.

"Got it."

"What could go wrong with so many people here?"

"Exactly."

"It's boring with such little money."

"Yeah, who needs it?"

Loren turned to Alfonso. "Mr. Romero, you should take a medical kit. There are lots of snakes and insects."

Alfonso shrugged. "No. What could happen?" With that, he and his friends headed inside.

Loren called after him, "Mr. Romero, don't go too deep. Come back when you see the protective net."

The trip was set to last seven days.

Not many showed up today; most were recovering from last night's partying.

Natalie arrived at Pearl Island at 11 AM. She was in the last group. Anyone arriving later probably wouldn't come.

After landing, she grabbed a medical kit as required.

A girl approached her. "Are you really carrying that? It's heavy. How are you going to walk?"

"It's not that heavy. Better safe than sorry," Natalie replied. "You should carry one too. Even a mosquito bite can itch. The climate here is humid, and there are definitely snakes and insects."

The girl, who had explained the rules to her on the beach last night, was gentle and well-behaved, unlike the others. She nodded. "You're right. It would be troublesome if we got bitten."

After packing their medical kits, the girl introduced herself, "I'm Ashley Thompson."

"Natalie Teeger," she replied.

Ashley smiled. "I know your name."

Natalie took a map and studied it. Dangerous areas were marked with red lines, and protective nets were surrounding them. Safe areas were marked with green lines.

Ashley asked, "Are you waiting for Mr. Murphy? He went south about ten minutes ago."

Natalie said, "Then I'll go inside and take a look."

Ashley offered, "I'll go with you."

Natalie nodded. "Okay."

They walked a bit further. The area was overgrown with weeds. Despite some human intervention, most of the original charm was preserved. The air was fresh, mixed with the scent of moist soil. After the hustle and bustle of the city, this was a refreshing change.

Natalie glanced at the map and walked east.

Ashley muttered, "Alice didn't come in. She's pregnant and resting by the shore. But Adrian went this way."

Natalie stopped, then turned and walked west.
