Chapter 1079 By Your Side

Natalie glanced at Rachel, while Heather chimed in, "Natalie wants to see Mr. Howard."

Rachel, trying to hold back her own sadness, said, "Natalie, you need to take care of yourself right now. You shouldn't be moving around. Adrian hasn't woken up yet. When he does, he'll come see you."

Natalie leaned back on her pillow, still unable to speak.

Melissa looked at her and said, "Natalie, just focus on getting better. I've hired a caregiver for you. If you need anything, just let her know. If you feel uncomfortable, contact the doctor. I'll be checking in on you often."

Rachel added, "Yeah, Natalie, get some rest. I'll come by to keep you company."

The more they tried to comfort her, the more upset Natalie felt. She couldn't wait any longer; she needed to see Adrian.

After Melissa and Rachel left, Natalie looked at Heather with pleading eyes.

Heather finally gave in. After talking to the doctor and getting a wheelchair, she helped Natalie into it and pushed her to the ICU door.

Through the glass, Natalie saw Adrian lying weakly on the bed, and tears filled her eyes.

'Adrian!' she kept calling his name in her heart.

Natalie didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay with Adrian.

Heather sighed, "Natalie, you need to get better first so you can take care of Adrian. You can't even speak right now. He's still in a coma, but the doctor said he'll wake up. When you were in a coma, the doctor didn't know when you'd wake up either. I prayed so hard, and you woke up in just three days. So stay strong, Natalie!"

Natalie looked at Heather, thinking, 'Yes, I need to stay strong. I need to get better quickly so I can be with Adrian.'

Over the next week, Heather would push Natalie to the ICU to see Adrian every day after her IV.

Inside the glass, Adrian was still asleep, like he was trapped in a huge nightmare.

Natalie's voice slowly started to come back over the week. It still hurt a bit, but she could make simple sounds now.

She coughed lightly a few times. She had lost a lot of weight, looking extremely frail, her chin even sharper.

The media were still camped outside the hospital, but security kept them at bay.

News of Natalie's awakening was released by her studio, reassuring her friends and fans.

Lying in bed, Natalie picked up her phone, read some kind messages from fans, closed her eyes, and let the tears fall.

Heather had been by her side almost the entire week.

Natalie couldn't help but say, "Thank you."

"No need to thank me. Honestly, I've always thought of you as my little sister," Heather said, a bit embarrassed.

Natalie gave a pale smile. Her appetite was poor, so she ate sparingly.

She got out of bed and went to the ICU door, looking at Adrian inside and thinking, 'Adrian, when will you wake up? I'm right here by your side.'
