Chapter 864 The Two People Really Resemble Each Other
"Of course, Rebecca would never invite Alice. She doesn't deserve it," Rachel scoffed.
Chloe suddenly remembered something. "Rachel, I watched a movie a few days ago, and there was this star who looked just like Alice. At first, I thought they were the same person. They really look alike, but their vibes are totally different. Her name is Natalie, and she's way cooler and gentler than Alice. But seriously, they look so much alike."
"Natalie?" Rachel repeated the name in a murmur. "I know her."
"You know her?" Chloe was surprised.
"Yeah, Natalie's mom used to work as a maid for the Cullen family. I saw Natalie when I visited the Cullen mansion. She even came to the Howard family once and saved my grandpa," Rachel explained.
Amanda chimed in, "Natalie? Who's this Natalie you're talking about? Does she really look like Alice?" Amanda rarely watched movies or kept up with entertainment news, so she was out of the loop.
In Amanda's mind, she thought Chloe was exaggerating.
Chloe pulled out her phone, found a photo of Natalie, and handed it to Amanda. "Look, this is Natalie. You can tell right away it's her because Alice doesn't have that soft and comfy vibe."
Amanda took a look and thought, 'Oh my God, they look so alike. It's almost like they're the same person. Of course, their expressions, clothes, and makeup are different.'
Chloe, who loved reading novels and following different shows, suddenly had a lightbulb moment. "Rachel, does Adrian like Natalie? Has he ever met her? You said Adrian decided to get engaged to Alice because she saved him when he first came to Vachilit. What if he got the wrong person? What if it was Natalie who saved him? You also said Natalie's mom was a maid, so her status is low, while Alice is a rich girl. What if Adrian mixed them up?"
Hearing Chloe's wild speculation, Amanda quickly interrupted, "Chloe, what nonsense are you talking about!"
Even though the Henderson family had a good relationship with the Howard family, it wasn't cool to speculate about their family matters.
Rachel didn't mind. She seemed convinced by Chloe, her eyes widening at the very possibility that it might be true. Because when Adrian first went to the Cullen mansion, he paid a lot of attention to that maid, Natalie.
Rachel gritted her teeth. "Chloe, tell me more."
Knowing what Amanda was thinking and given her 20-year friendship with Rachel, Chloe pulled Rachel upstairs.
They went to a small terrace, organizing their shopping spoils from the day. Chloe said, "Adrian really doesn't like Alice? Wasn't he good to her before? I remember you said he took her to the movies and drove her home."
"Yeah, he was good to her before. Maybe he grew into this realization of her true color. Anyway, I think Alice is just super hypocritical and greedy. And if it weren't for her bad ideas, Jamie wouldn't be drifting away from me." Rachel sighed. "Chloe, do you think Adrian really mistook Alice for someone else?"
