Chapter 315 Wooing
Natalie glanced up at Emma and said, "Manager Kroger."
The elevator climbed, filled with Emma's strong perfume and a hint of roses.
Emma eyed Natalie, noting her striking profile. 'Melody has good taste. Natalie’s looks alone can turn heads,' she thought.
Emma asked, "Natalie, ever thought about joining my team?"
Natalie was surprised by the offer. She knew about the rivalry between Emma and Melody. "Manager Kroger, I've been at the Imperial Nightclub for months. I haven't done anything wrong, and Manager Nicholson treats me well. What's in it for me to switch?"
Emma replied, "I'll give you an extra 3% commission on drinks."
Natalie raised an eyebrow and smiled. She didn't respond but stepped back as the elevator stopped. "Manager Kroger, we're on the 6th floor."
Emma walked out. "Whatever Melody offers, I can match and more. Think about it, no rush."
As the elevator doors closed, Natalie stepped out.
Melody treated her well, and she had no plans to switch teams. Plus, she didn't get why Emma wanted her.
Natalie headed to the changing room.
Her locker couldn't fit the roses, so she left them on the table. The room filled with a faint rose scent.
Susan walked in. "Wow, who got the roses?"
Another voice laughed, "You should be asking who sent them."
Susan sniffed the flowers. "Nineteen Stories flowers aren't cheap. The packaging alone costs a lot."
Another girl gestured at Natalie. Susan smiled knowingly. With Natalie's looks, it made sense someone was after her.
Natalie was changing clothes. She grabbed a white shirt from her locker, put it on, and used a card to cinch the back. Even the smallest size was a bit big on her.
Susan looked envious. "Natalie, you're so thin! Great figure."
Susan wasn't fat either, just had round cheeks and cute dimples, giving her a baby face.
After complaining about her own bodyshape, she started changing too.
She casually asked, "Who sent them?"
Natalie replied, "A friend."
Susan asked, "What does he look like? Seems wealthy. If he's good to you, say yes."
Before Natalie could answer, another girl said, "Susan, you know him?"
Susan smiled. "Just don't want Natalie to miss out on a good guy."
Natalie sighed. "Alright, stop talking. Hurry up and change. The wine cellar is short-staffed."
Another girl said, "I heard the boss is coming tonight."
Susan's eyes widened. "Really? The boss?"
The girl replied, "Yeah, I heard Manager Kroger on the phone."
Susan got excited, thinking, 'Am I finally going to meet him?'
