Chapter 807 Not Worth It
"Alright," the kids nodded.
On the way, Zola piped up, "Rebecca, we messed up today."
"What happened?" Rebecca's tone softened a bit.
Zola explained, "I was playing with Marcus and accidentally bumped into someone. We said sorry, but she was still super mad."
Rebecca sighed, "Just be more careful next time. Marcus, when you take Zola to play, watch out and don't run around in crowded places."
"Okay, Rebecca," Marcus replied.
Rebecca really liked Marcus. Even though he was young, he had this calm vibe, kinda like Adrian—cool and collected, but really steady.
Rebecca casually asked, "Who did you bump into?"
Zola shrugged, "I don't know, some lady. She said she was pregnant and if anything happened to her, she'd teach us a lesson and even hit us."
Rebecca frowned a bit.
Marcus, worried Rebecca might get mad, said, "It was me who bumped into her, but she seemed alright and we apologized."
Rebecca said, "It's not your fault. That lady has terrible manners."
Rebecca thought for a moment and suddenly remembered who was pregnant.
She pursed her lips and thought, 'Isn't Alice supposed to be elegant, gentle, smart, and kind? How could she talk like that? I must be mistaken. The woman Adrian chose as his fiancée couldn't be so rude. A woman who catches Adrian's eye must be really special.'
Natalie and Bella stayed at the amusement park until late.
The Ferris wheel started moving slowly.
They sat on it, taking in the Christmas scenery in Vachilit. The whole landscape was in full view. Natalie took out her phone and snapped a few pics.
Bella asked, "Natalie, do you think we'll still get to see such beautiful scenery together in the future?"
"We will, for sure." No matter what challenges came their way, they'd overcome them!
When Adrian called, Natalie and Bella had just left the amusement park. It was already 10 PM, and they were about to head back.
Seeing Adrian's call, Natalie lowered her eyes a bit.
Bella said, "It's Adrian, right? You should answer it."
Natalie had a bittersweet smile. "Alice is pregnant."
Bella already knew.
Given Alice's personality, she'd definitely buy hot news and headlines to let the whole world know she was pregnant.
Bella saw it while browsing a news page and her first thought was about what Natalie would do and how Adrian could betray her.
Once Alice was pregnant, her position as the lady of the Howard family would be solidified. Unless the child wasn't Adrian's, whenever she gave birth, she'd become the lady of the Howard family.
Adrian treated Natalie really well and gave her all kinds of resources.
But Bella knew that what Natalie wanted was a home.
Natalie had been bullied in the Cullen family since she was a kid, and now Alice was proudly pregnant.
Bella thought, 'Men are all the same, with the same flaws. Adrian is just like Nicholas, not worth it!'
Natalie answered the phone. "Hello."
Adrian asked, "Where are you? Done shopping?"
Natalie said, baffled, "How did you know I was out?"
Adrian replied, "Your Facebook."
Natalie didn't expect Adrian to still be checking her Facebook.
She said, "I'm with Bella. We were just about to head back."
