Chapter 1033 Call Her Natalie

"Andrea, seriously, stop thinking about him, okay?" Jamie said.

Andrea leaned back, her voice barely above a whisper, "Jamie, do you think Adrian will come see me again?"

Jamie was taken aback. After being in a coma for 8 years, Andrea was still hung up on Adrian.

He stood up, "Andrea, just rest for now. I need to talk to the doctor."

Jamie left the room, lighting a cigarette at the door, his fists clenched as he punched the wall.

Suddenly, a soft voice came from behind. "Mr. Lawson?"

Jamie turned around, his usual cold expression back in place, though his voice was a bit rough, "Natalie."

Natalie said, "Adrian brought me here. He's in the specialist's office right now."

Jamie said, "Natalie, I don't want you to see Andrea."

Natalie smiled, "I get it."

"You do?"

"Adrian told me some things from the past, and I can kinda guess." Natalie clutched her handbag tightly, "I can stay outside, but how is Ms. Lawson doing?"

"She's okay, just a bit weak after being in a coma for so long." Jamie didn't have any bad feelings towards Natalie; in fact, he felt a bit of goodwill, "Natalie, since you know about the past, you should know that Andrea likes Adrian."

"I know."

"Then why are you here? I'm afraid it'll upset you and her. They used to be really close."

"Mr. Lawson, thanks for your concern. But I think it's something we have to face eventually. Since Ms. Lawson's condition is stable, it's better to resolve it sooner rather than later. You like Ms. Lawson, and since I've married Adrian, you should be happy. People are inherently selfish. I believe you wouldn't want Ms. Lawson and Adrian to start over again, right?"

"I thought you were so noble, but it turns out you're selfish too."

"What's wrong with being a little selfish for the one you love?" Natalie said frankly.

"You're quite straightforward."

"Not as much as you, Mr. Lawson."

Jamie stubbed out his cigarette, "You're really good at arguing."

At that moment, Adrian walked over from the specialist's office. He had asked the doctor, who said that since Andrea had woken up, her body would gradually recover. However, there could still be other complications after so many years, which would take time to recover. For now, Andrea's condition seemed to be stabilizing.

Jamie squinted at Adrian, wanting to tell him to get lost. But then he remembered Andrea's pleading, hopeful eyes.

Jamie clenched his fists. "Adrian, I won't let you hurt Andrea again."

"I won't hurt her. I'll always be her brother," Adrian said.

In the ward, Adrian sat by the bed as Andrea looked at him excitedly, "Adrian, I knew you'd come to see me."

Adrian smiled, "Actually, I came the day before yesterday."

Andrea said, "That day I had just woken up and couldn't see you clearly."

"Can you see clearly now?"

"Yes." Andrea tried to sit up, and Adrian reached out to help her.

Andrea bit her lip, looking pitiful, "Adrian, I heard from Jamie that you are married and having a wedding."
