Chapter 1216 Do You Not Believe Me Either?

So, what happened to Andrea's hand?

Adrian's voice was calm, "Jamie, if that's what you think, there's nothing I can do. Andrea got hurt, and although Lucky usually gets vaccinated, Andrea should get a rabies shot immediately. This is no small matter. As for why Lucky bit Andrea..."

He paused slightly and looked at Andrea, "Andrea, can you explain what happened?"

Andrea's eyes were filled with tears, unsure if it was from the pain or feeling wronged.

"Adrian, don't you believe me?"

"That's not what I mean. Andrea, tell me, did you and Lucky have any conflict? It's a dog, and maybe it attacked because it was provoked."

As soon as he said this, everyone's eyes turned to Andrea.

Andrea's voice was soft and calm, "I saw you all playing chess, and I was bored, so I went outside to get some fresh air. Lucky was playing with a ball in the yard. Although I've always been afraid of big dogs, since it was your dog, Adrian, I wanted to get closer to Lucky. But as soon as I approached, for some reason, Lucky suddenly lunged at me and bit my hand."

"Alright, Andrea, take care of your injury. Go get the vaccine now, and I'll find Lucky and punish him properly."

Jamie raised an eyebrow, "Punish? This dog bit Andrea. If it can bite Andrea, it can bite others too. Adrian, you're clearly protecting this dog!"

Adrian pressed his lips together and remained silent, his expression indifferent as he looked at Jamie.

Claire quickly said, "Luckily, the injury isn't serious. Andrea, take good care of yourself. I'll visit you at the Lawson mansion tomorrow."

Adrian's voice was cold and clear, "I've had Lucky for four years, and I know his temperament well. He wouldn't bite someone without reason. I'll get to the bottom of this. From now on, I'll keep Lucky at Bayview Villa."

Andrea didn't expect Adrian to trust a dog. Although Adrian didn't explicitly say he didn't believe her and even comforted her, Andrea could clearly feel Adrian's distrust.

For a moment, her mind was in turmoil.

'It's just a dog, is it really that important to Adrian?'

He would rather protect a dog.

Jamie had no intention of arguing with Adrian and immediately took Andrea to get the vaccine.

Natalie watched them leave, frowning, wondering where Lucky was hiding.

She also didn't believe that Lucky would bite someone.

Lucky was like a child to Natalie. After living with him for so long, she knew his temperament. Lucky was very gentle and loyal and would never attack someone unprovoked.

Even when some kids threw stones at him while they were out for a walk, Lucky didn't retaliate.

Ruben, sitting on the couch, said, "Adrian, what did you mean by what you just said? Do you think Andrea provoked Lucky, causing him to bite her?"

"Grandpa, I didn't say that."

"You didn't say it, but that's what you implied." Ruben frowned, "Adrian, what's wrong with you? Andrea is your sister. Her hand was bitten, and you should be comforting her."

Rachel couldn't help but interject, "Comfort Andrea? How? By catching Lucky and beating him, or by abandoning him, letting him wander or sending him to a shelter to wait for a new owner?"
