Chapter 1281 The Mysterious Person Behind the Cruise Ship

Natalie originally thought that the final challenge would be very difficult, but unexpectedly, it was all about luck, relying on simple games like rock-paper-scissors.

Adrian seemed to see through her thoughts and said, "In this world, effort is a synonym. Many people, as long as they work hard, have a chance of success. That's true, but luck is also very important. Inside, it's all about luck; all factors are unknown and uncertain. So, very few people can come out completely unscathed."

"But with each level you pass, you can get something—money, beautiful women, honor. Whatever you want, you get one step closer. So, although it's dangerous, many people still flock to it, only to wake up when they finally lose to luck."

"Who is the owner here?"

Adrian squinted his eyes but didn't say anything.

However, Natalie could tell that Adrian knew.

If he couldn't say, Natalie wouldn't force him.

She stood up.

"The food should be ready. I'll go check."

"Someone you know."

"To be precise, there are many participants in the core part of this cruise ship. The person we know is just one of them."

Adrian mentioned a name, and Natalie raised her eyebrows slightly.

She really hadn't thought of it.

Quincy was one of the owners of this magical and eerie cruise ship.

Natalie poured out the meat soup, which looked and tasted great.

Adrian looked at the meat soup, took a sip, and said, "It tastes good, Natalie. I didn't expect you to be such a good cook, not worse than the chefs at home."

Natalie was naturally pleased with Adrian's compliment, but modesty was also necessary. "My cooking is just okay."

She could only make some home-cooked dishes, not comparable to the chefs at home.

Natalie said, "There's another dish in the pot, and I also fried some steaks."

This meal was simple and ordinary, without the luxurious and romantic flavors of outside restaurants, just simple home-cooked dishes.

But both Natalie and Adrian enjoyed it very much.

Adrian knew Natalie was worried about Derek. "If Derek doesn't come out in another week, you can ask Quincy. After all, you helped him win the chess game; it's only fair he helps you find someone."

"Quincy is one of the owners of Ocean Harmony, so who is the founder?"

"I haven't heard about that. I asked Quincy back then, but he didn't say. When I first went to Ocean Harmony, I didn't know he was one of the owners. It was Melissa who told me later. Not many people know about this."

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." She didn't want to delve into the secrets of this cruise ship; she just hoped her friend was okay.

Adrian sighed, looking at Natalie's face.

The soft light in the dining room cast a warm glow on her face, making her look even more exquisite and beautiful.

He said, "Aren't you curious why Quincy joined this?"

"Everyone has their own secrets and destinies. We can't interfere with Quincy's choices. But does Ruben know about this?"

"He knows, but he found out later," Adrian said.

"Quincy had a tumor in his brain for over twenty years. He had surgery ten years ago and another one four years ago. That cruise ship is backed by a huge pharmaceutical group. Besides some common drugs on the market, they also secretly research some medications. Quincy survived the second brain surgery because of the drugs they researched."
