Chapter 1261 Do You Want to Stay at My Place?
Giselle walked up to Natalie and said, "I met Adrian while studying abroad. I'm actually two years older than him. Our friends all call him Adrian, regardless of age; it's just a habit."
"Oh, I see. So, you must have known each other for a long time."
"About seven or eight years," Giselle said.
Adrian added, "Yeah, it's been quite a while."
Giselle suggested, "Since you are here, let me treat you both to dinner tonight. The Starlight Hotel has many specialty dishes. Although it's a chain hotel, we've developed a lot of unique dishes ourselves. Let's give them a try."
Natalie looked at Adrian, who nodded in agreement.
The Starlight Hotel was a new hotel invested in by the Howard Group three years ago, open in only six cities.
It caters to all customers, offering rooms ranging from $200 a night for a king bed to $100,000 a night for a presidential suite. There are also themed suites of various types and prices.
However, the top-floor suites are always reserved for the Howard Group's senior executives and are not available to others.
Whenever a senior executive from the Howard Group visits these cities, they can stay there freely.
Adrian's room was in the top-floor presidential suite.
Giselle said, "Adrian, your room is already prepared for you."
Adrian coughed.
Natalie glanced at Adrian, thinking, didn't he say he didn't book a room?
Giselle immediately sensed the awkward atmosphere.
Adrian looked at Giselle, "Giselle, didn't you message me earlier saying that the water pipes in my room were broken?"
Giselle replied, "What?"
When did they break? She had no idea.
If they were broken, she would immediately arrange for workers to fix them. It couldn't delay Adrian's stay.
With this in mind, Giselle quickly took out her phone to make a call for an inspection.
Adrian coughed heavily, "Giselle, you said earlier that the pipes were broken and needed to be replaced, which was very troublesome and not yet fixed."
Giselle finally understood. Adrian was saying this on purpose. Even a fool would get it by now.
But at that moment, the call connected, "Hello, why didn't you tell me the pipes in Mr. Howard's suite were broken? Mr. Howard's room is specific. What? It can't be fixed in a short time? What kind of work are you doing?"
After hanging up, Giselle looked at Adrian, "Sorry, Adrian, my staff didn't inspect properly. Your room is probably uninhabitable now."
"Adrian, I know you're used to staying in that room, and you might not be comfortable with a temporary arrangement. I'll think of something."
Adrian said, "It's fine."
Hearing Adrian's nonchalant response, Giselle wanted to roll her eyes.
If she couldn't see through Adrian's little scheme, she would have wasted her 30 years of life.
Adrian just wanted to stay with Natalie, didn't he?
Natalie hadn't expected this turn of events. "So, where will you stay tonight? Do you want to check out other hotel suites? The Howard Group should have other chain hotels in Suncrest City. You can see if any of them are suitable."
"If not," Natalie bit her lip, "do you want to stay at my place? I'm not staying in a hotel while filming here; I rented a villa. There are plenty of rooms, and I can save one for you."
