Chapter 1386 Visiting
With her assistant and bodyguard in tow, Kamille got into the car to head back.
In the car, Kamille, exhausted, rubbed her temples. Her assistant, sitting beside her, spoke up, "Miss, we're taking Ms. Bailey to the hospital. If the Roach family finds out… will it be a problem?"
Kamille sighed, "We can't just leave Mila to freeze to death in there, can we? Mila had the nerve to target Elmer's wife at my birthday party. Clearly, she doesn't respect me at all. Letting her freeze for a bit was already a lesson. But we can't let her die at my party. Elmer can afford to offend the Bailey family, but we can't."
"What should we do about Ms. Bailey then?"
"Well, the situation's already escalated. The Bailey family will send someone to handle it. This is between the Bailey family and the Roach family; we don't need to get involved," Kamille said. "Are the guests from the party all taken care of?"
"Yeah, they've all been arranged to stay at the hotel, just like you said. Everything's in order."
Meanwhile, a flight from Vachilit landed in Luminosa.
After taking a ferry, they arrived at the Frins Hotel by morning.
When Adrian appeared in front of Natalie, she was a bit surprised but quickly hugged him. "You're here so early! I thought your flight was later today."
"I couldn't wait after your call," Adrian said, holding her close and planting a gentle kiss on her lips.
Heather emerged from the bedroom just then, saw the two of them, and quickly turned around, coughing. "I didn't see anything. Carry on."
Natalie blushed and led Adrian to her room. "You must be tired from the trip. Why don't you rest for a bit?"
"I'm not tired." Adrian just held her gently, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Have you had breakfast yet?"
"Not yet. A server will bring breakfast soon. What would you like? I'll order an extra portion."
"Anything's fine."
After taking a shower, Natalie came out to find Adrian asleep on the bed.
She walked over and tucked him in.
When it was time for breakfast, Natalie and Heather didn't stay in the living room but took their meal to Matilda's room.
At the dining table, the three of them discussed the future plans for the "Thread & Theory" brand. Getting Kamille on board was just the first step. Matilda mentioned that Kamille's personal assistant had come to see her last night to talk about the brand.
They chatted casually about some recent gossip during the meal.
Zanna said, "I heard that Mrs. Roach isn't doing well. She was transferred to a major hospital inland for treatment, but her chances don't look good. Apparently, she was in the cold storage for too long."
Natalie felt a bit sorry about it.
"I also heard that Mila was locked in the cold storage for quite a while. Kamille let her out, and she's awake now, in the hospital. This is going to cause some friction between the Bailey family and the Roach family," Zanna continued.
Heather thought for a moment and said, "I think Elmer did the right thing. Mila deserved it."
Adrian slept through the morning, and in the afternoon, Natalie took him to visit the Roach Manor.
In the living room.
A servant came in to report, "Sir, there's a man named Adrian and his wife Natalie outside. They wish to see you."
"Who did you say?" Isaac put down his book. "Adrian?"
Ruben's grandson? What is he doing here?
