Chapter 1100 Will You Wait for him Forever?
"I gotta get in touch with Natalie. She's my best friend. If something's up with her, I can't just ignore it. You'd do the same if your best friend was in trouble, right?" Bella's eyes were all misty.
Nicholas felt a pang in his chest and said flatly, "I don't have friends."
The one friend Nicholas had trusted had been the one to betray him.
Nicholas looked into her eyes and, in the end, didn't say no. He nodded, his throat a bit dry. "Do what you gotta do."
Bella's eyes lit up. "Really?"
She couldn't believe Nicholas was actually gonna let her have the phone.
Nicholas stared into Bella's eyes. Right then, they sparkled like the brightest stars in the night sky.
Nicholas wondered when he started catching feelings for Bella. It must've been the first time he met her.
Turning around, Nicholas walked to the door and stopped, asking, "If Austin stays in a coma and never wakes up, will you wait for him forever?"
Bella's eyelashes drooped. She had actually thought about this. "No."
'I'm human, not a savior. I like Austin, but I can't stay with him and watch over him for a lifetime. If Austin never wakes up, I won't spend my life waiting. I like Austin, but not enough to last a lifetime. Maybe we haven't been through enough together to be steadfast. I was happy when I was with him. I hope Austin can wake up, but I also have to face reality. If Austin stayed in a coma for life, I won't wait forever, not like Natalie who is waiting for Adrian,' Bella thought.
Raising her head, she looked at Nicholas, her eyes firm. "Life is long. I can't make decisions for my future right now."
There was one more thing Bella kept to herself. 'Just like you, Nicholas. You just haven't met the woman you love, so you force me to have this child. When you meet the one you truly love, maybe the relationship between you and me can finally end.'
Imperial Nightclub's net profit for this quarter shot up by 32%, compared to the last quarter. It smashed the business target. When the whole report hit Natalie's email, she had to take a deep breath to read through all the dense text.
Natalie raised her hands to pinch her brow, looking at the incoming amount.
She was the owner of Imperial Nightclub. Most of the quarterly profit was hers. If it were before, she would've never dreamed that one day, her account would see such a huge sum in a single transaction. After all, Imperial Nightclub was the most luxurious and glamorous spot in the whole city.
Natalie was slightly stunned when she saw the number.
