Chapter 949 Being Monitored
Cassidy had got the Reynolds Group in her grip now. She was behind Brandon's first wife's death, wormed her way into the family, and even put Austin in a coma. Liliana? Yeah, she couldn't stand Cassidy either.
Austin's actually the second son, with Nicholas being the eldest. But they swapped places.
If Nicholas had gotten in that car back then, maybe things would be different now.
Natalie headed over to Renaissance Grove Villas. As expected, she only found the servants, no sign of Bella. She tried calling Bella again, but no luck.
The servant mentioned she was the only one there and Nicholas hadn't come back yet.
Natalie took a quick look upstairs, then left the villa.
Derek's car was waiting outside, and Natalie hopped in. "Derek, think you can sneak in tonight and check upstairs?"
Derek eyed the villa's exterior. "Yeah, I can manage. I'll hack into the security system and head up."
They waited until nightfall.
Derek sneaked into Renaissance Grove Villas solo.
Getting past the surveillance and up to the second floor was a piece of cake for him. He slipped through a window while the servants were asleep.
But to his surprise, the place was empty. No Bella, no Nicholas.
It was creepily quiet.
Derek pulled out a flashlight and flicked it on.
Inside, apart from a broom and some cleaning tools, it didn't look like anyone lived there.
The table was spotless, everything arranged like a showroom.
Derek headed back to the car where Natalie was waiting.
Seeing him return, she asked anxiously, "How'd it go?"
Derek replied, "Ms. Swan isn't here. Are you sure she said she was at Renaissance Grove Villas?"
Natalie nodded.
Derek speculated, "Then she either gave you the wrong place, or Nicholas is playing games, making Bella think she's here when she's not. She's probably somewhere else."
Natalie was freaking out, unable to reach Bella or figure out where she was.
Derek drove out of the villa area, sensing Natalie's worry. "Ms. Teeger, I'll get someone to investigate. You've only got two days off. I haven't told Mr. Howard you're back yet."
Natalie couldn't focus on that; she just wanted to find Bella.
But after rushing back all morning, she realized the address Bella gave her was bogus; Bella wasn't there.
Natalie's mind was a mess.
Derek glanced at her and said, "I know you're worried about Ms. Swan, but you can't find her on your own. In a country as big as Vachilit, it's easy to hide someone. And Ms. Teeger, you only have a two-day break and need to get back to filming. Don't worry. Ms. Swan will be fine."
Natalie shook her head, thinking, 'Bella has asked me for help, so she must be in some kind of trouble.'
But right now, Natalie couldn't find Bella and felt completely helpless.
Derek drove Natalie home.
She didn't sleep that night, haunted by Bella's plea for help every time she closed her eyes.
