Chapter 145 Let's Break Up

Seeing Natalie acting normal, Jagger's face darkened slightly and he said, "My phone was on silent, I didn't hear it."

"Oh, I see." Natalie didn't persist in asking further and smiled at Traylor beside her. "Hello, Doctor Kroger."

Traylor nodded indifferently and then left.

Natalie didn't mention him again and suddenly suggested, "Let's go to watch a movie. We haven't had a date other than eating meals since we got together."

Jagger was somewhat surprised, feeling that Natalie was a bit strange today, but still went along with her, saying, "Okay."

After a long hesitation on the way, he finally spoke, "Natalie, I thought you might be upset seeing me with Doctor Kroger."

"Why would I be? Doctor Kroger is quite nice," Natalie said.

'She suits you well too.' Natalie thought, but she didn't say it out.

According to Jagger's mother, Traylor's mother, Director Kroger, had been working hard for Jagger's case.

Perhaps Traylor was the most suitable person for Jagger.

In the cinema, Natalie entered with two purchased tickets and it was a comedy movie.

There weren't many people seated in the theater. Jagger sat next to Natalie as they watched the movie. Natalie's gaze was fixed on the screen, and she found the comedy quite amusing. She laughed several times, but her heart was filled with bitterness.

During a transition in the movie with no background music and no lines from the actors, Natalie said, "Jagger, let's break up."

Her voice was soft.

But Jagger, sitting beside her, could hear it clearly.

"What are you saying?" Jagger felt like he must have misheard.

"Let's break up," Natalie repeated, looking at Jagger. "I feel like we're not a good match."

Jagger had better options, and she truly couldn't be up to his level.

"Natalie, are you joking with me?" Jagger asked, puzzled.

The theater was dark, and Natalie felt like crying. She struggled to control her emotions. "Jagger, I've thought about it carefully. I don't like you."

"Natalie, do you dislike me now because I don't have a job?" Jagger asked in a sad tone.

Natalie was taken aback.

She had never thought about this.

Natalie bit her lip.

In fact, she had been a burden on Jagger.

Jagger had a bright future, and he shouldn't waste time on her.

Natalie tried to hold back her tears. When she looked up, her gaze was dim, but she could still see Jagger's silhouette. "Yes, you're right. I dislike you for not having a job, so let's break up."

"No, I don't believe it. Natalie, I don't believe you're like this. Is there something else, Natalie? Are you facing some difficulties?" Jagger couldn't understand.

"No, this is who I am. I'm the kind of person who loves wealth and despises poverty!" Natalie said through gritted teeth.

Natalie stood up. "Jagger, thank you for taking care of my mother before. Let's not meet again in the future."

After saying that, Natalie turned and left.

Jagger grabbed her hand.

"Natalie, I don't believe it. What happened? You can tell me, we can face it together. I've known you for a long time, and I know what kind of person you are." Natalie had always been kind and gentle.

Natalie pulled her hand away and couldn't help but growl softly, "What kind of person am I? Jagger, I just wanted to part on good terms with you. Since you insist on this, fine!" She took out her phone and dialed a number, her voice carrying a hint of deliberate coquetry. "Hello, I've broken up. I'm at Star Cinema now. Come to pick me up."

About twenty minutes passed.

The movie had just ended.

A black Bentley parked at the cinema entrance.

When Natalie walked out, the driver quickly got out of the car and opened the door for her. Natalie went in without looking back.
