Chapter 1198 A Reason to Send Andrea Away
"What I used to want, you and Adrian would always try to satisfy me. But now, I wake up, and seven years have passed. Everything has become unfamiliar. Adrian is married, and Jamie, you are not the same as before."
As Andrea spoke, she began to cry.
She already needed oxygen to breathe, and now, crying made it even harder for her to catch her breath. Her face started to turn red, and she gasped for air, her lips pale and bloodless.
Jamie frowned, trying to soothe her emotions. "Of course, I believe you, Andrea. I watched you grow up. I know Andrea is a kind girl, and I hope Andrea can always maintain this pure kindness."
"Adrian is already married, and even though he has lost his memory now, his wife is still Natalie, and the Howard family recognizes Natalie. Without Adrian, you are not alone. I am still here with you and will always be with you."
He gently reached out and wiped the tears from her face, his expression gentle. "Andrea, once you get better, you should return to the Lawson mansion."
"No, I don't want to. I want to stay at the Howard mansion." She had finally found an excuse to stay at the Howard mansion.
"I can promise you to have dinner at the Howard mansion every Saturday." This was Jamie's final compromise.
"No, I don't want that!" Andrea refused outright.
If she stayed at the Lawson mansion, she would be even further away from Adrian.
"Andrea, this is also Ruben's decision."
Andrea's eyes widened. "Impossible, Grandpa wouldn't say that."
"Jeffery is right outside. You can ask him."
With that, Jamie stood up, walked to the door, and opened it. Jeffery was standing outside.
Jeffery walked in; he didn't have the somewhat fierce look that John had. John had a naturally warrior-like face that could be intimidating.
Jeffery, on the other hand, was different; he had a naturally friendly and amiable smile.
"Ms. Lawson, Mr. Ruben Howard said that you need to rest and recuperate, so you should go back to the Lawson mansion with Mr. Lawson. Sky Villa needs renovations these days. There was a previous issue with water leakage, and now a construction team is fixing it, which will delay Ms. Lawson's stay."
Andrea's eyes widened in disbelief. She bit her lip.
Her originally bloodless lips now turned crimson. "I see."
The Howard mansion had several buildings. Besides Sky Villa, there were other villas, many of which were vacant. Even the servants had places to stay.
But they used the excuse of renovations to send her back to the Lawson mansion.
The message was clear.
What made Andrea jealous was that Ruben's heart was also inclined towards Natalie.
Did Ruben find out something?
Did Ruben discover that she drank the kiwi juice to frame Natalie? Was that why he wanted her to leave?
Andrea panicked for a moment.
Jamie said, "Jeffery, Andrea is fine now. Go back and tell Grandpa not to worry."
"Okay, Mr. Lawson, Ms. Lawson, I'll be leaving now."
Watching Jeffery leave, Jamie turned his gaze back to Andrea.
Seeing the panic in Andrea's eyes, he sighed, reached out, and gently touched Andrea's hair, softly calling her name.
Andrea leaned against his chest, but her mind was racing.
Only seven years had passed. The Howard family used to dote on her, even more than their own daughter, Rachel. But now, everything had changed.
