Chapter 1032 She Is My Sister
Natalie squeezed his hand. "Hey, it's not your fault."
Adrian closed his eyes and hugged her, taking in the faint cherry blossom scent of her hair.
"If it weren't for me, Andrea wouldn't have tried to end it. Now that she's awake, I feel like a weight's been lifted off my chest."
"Come on, let's eat. I made dinner," Natalie said, gently pushing him away and standing up. She was about to head to the kitchen when Adrian grabbed her waist and pulled her back onto the couch.
Natalie looked at him, "We should eat before it gets cold."
"Natalie, are you jealous?" Adrian asked out of nowhere.
Natalie blinked, "No, I'm not."
Adrian said, "There's nothing between Andrea and me. You're the only one I care about."
Hearing this, Natalie smiled, "Why would I be jealous of her? I should be grateful she saved you."
"Natalie, I only see her as a sister."
"Well, if she's your sister, then she's my sister too."
"In a couple of days, once she's stable, I'll take you to see her."
"Okay."
Andrea lay in the hospital bed as the doctor ran a bunch of tests on her.
She could talk now, but her voice was raspy from being in a coma for so long. Her body wasn't strong enough to walk yet, so she had to stay in bed. In a few days, she'd start rehab, and the poison in her system had cleared out during her coma.
Jamie had been by her side in the hospital room these past few days.
Andrea's lips were pale, "Jamie, I never thought I'd see you again."
"Andrea, it's my fault," Jamie held her hand, "If I had stayed with you, this wouldn't have happened."
"No, it's not your fault. I just couldn't handle it," Andrea's voice was hoarse, "Jamie, I really thought I was going to die back then. Actually, after I jumped, I regretted it."
Seeing Andrea try to sit up, Jamie adjusted the bed for her.
Andrea hugged him, "Jamie, I missed you so much."
"It's okay. Everything's fine now," Jamie patted her back.
After years in a coma, Andrea was skin and bones. "Jamie, do I look terrible like this?"
She hadn't looked in a mirror since waking up and had no idea what she looked like now.
"You're beautiful. To me, you're the most beautiful girl."
"Jamie, can I have your phone? I want to call Adrian." Andrea's eyes were misty as she pleaded.
Jamie said, "Andrea."
He knew very well that Andrea liked Adrian.
Jamie pressed his lips tightly. "Andrea, you need to focus on getting better. You just woke up. And Adrian is already married."
Andrea's eyes widened, "What? When did this happen?"
She couldn't believe it.
Jamie said, "His wife is Natalie, a celebrity. They're already married and about to have their wedding."
Andrea trembled, "How could this happen?"
