Chapter 632 Difference
Bella had Alice's game figured out from the jump. She'd been hanging around for over an hour, just waiting for Alice to show up. "Why can't I be here? You think you're the only one allowed?"
Alice strutted in, two reporters with cameras hot on her heels.
Rosalie's eyes went wide at the sight of the reporters. "Who are they?"
"Rosalie, don't sweat it. How you feeling? Any better?" Alice asked, pulling up a chair and plopping down next to Rosalie's hospital bed.
Rosalie was caught off guard by Alice's sudden concern, but then she grinned, a bit excited. "I'm good, really good."
One reporter started snapping pics from all angles.
The other one kept the camera rolling, like they were shooting a documentary.
Bella watched Alice putting on her little act and smirked. She knew Alice was just trying to make herself look good.
Alice grabbed a peach from the fruit basket and started peeling it. Rosalie took a few bites. "Alice, try this. It's too much for me."
Alice quickly put down the knife, wiped her fingers with a tissue, and asked the reporter, "Did you get that?"
The reporter nodded, "Of course. Don't worry."
Alice then asked Rosalie a few more questions, all sweet and caring, before reaching into her bag. "Rosalie, I got you a gift, a necklace. Hope you like it."
Bella saw Alice pull out a paper bag with a jewelry store logo. She knew what Alice was up to and stood up to cut her off. "Rosalie, Natalie asked me to bring you a gift." Bella pulled out a small velvet jewelry box from her bag and opened it, revealing a dazzling light.
The diamond sparkled like crazy. It was a rose diamond necklace. Alice was momentarily stunned.
Bella put the necklace around Rosalie's neck. "Rosalie, this necklace is perfect for you. It looks amazing on you. Natalie picked it out. Her taste is always spot on."
Rosalie touched the necklace. "This is from Natalie?"
Bella nodded, "Yep, Natalie's got great taste. Rosalie, it looks fantastic on you."
One of the reporters recording the video moved closer to Bella, capturing the moment.
Alice's face dropped when she saw the necklace, because it was identical to the rose diamond one she had bought.
Didn't the sales associate say there were only two?
How did Bella get one too?
Alice's face soured even more because the necklace she was going to give Rosalie was a cheap pearl one.
Sure, it wasn't dirt cheap, but compared to this $60,000 rose diamond necklace, it was a joke.
Alice tried to put the velvet box back in her bag.
Bella jumped in, "Alice, what gift did you get for Rosalie? What kind of necklace? I see the brand is the same as the one Natalie bought. You two must be really tight, having the same taste." Bella emphasized "really tight" with a sarcastic edge.
Alice's face went stiff. "It's nothing."
"Don't be shy. Take it out and give Rosalie a surprise," Bella said.
