Chapter 1246 Giving Gifts

"It's not a bother. Ms. Teeger, are you free this weekend? It's my first time in Suncrest City, and I've arranged to go to Ocean Park with a few other main cast members. Would you like to join us?" Rocco extended the invitation.

If she had no other plans, Natalie might as well agree.

However, she wasn't very fond of spending time with people she wasn't familiar with.

"I don't think I can make it. You all have fun. I need to go back to Vachilit this weekend."

Rocco felt a bit disappointed.

Getting this role hadn't been easy for him; his agent had worked hard for it. But the script for this show wasn't finished yet, and it was still unclear who the final male lead would be.

Although his scenes were currently on par with Eloy's, there was a silent competition between them.

And Natalie had the decisive say in the matter.

As long as he got along well with Natalie, getting more scenes wouldn't be difficult, right?

But unexpectedly, Natalie turned him down right away.

Rocco didn't give up, thinking Natalie was just making an excuse about going to Vachilit.

He persisted, "I know it's a bit forward, but a lot of people from the crew are going. Everyone says Ocean Park here is really interesting, completely different from the one in Vachilit. They say if you come to Suncrest City, you must visit Ocean Park. There's a huge jellyfish exhibit."

"I really do need to go back to Vachilit this time. Maybe next time. Next time, I'll treat everyone," Natalie politely declined.

Rocco awkwardly touched his nose and smiled.

"Mr. Hightower, what brings you here?"

The voice of the crew member rang out.

Rocco looked up and saw Eloy approaching. He was in his own clothes, not his costume.

Eloy had a business event today and had to take a leave, but he came back to the set as soon as it was over.

Eloy's assistant called out, "Mr. Hightower bought ice cream and beverages for everyone. They're in the cooler, feel free to help yourselves."

"Thank you, Mr. Hightower."

Eloy walked over to the director, who asked, "Why are you here? Aren't you going back to the hotel?"

"I have four night scenes tonight. I'll just stay here and get into makeup later."

The director wasn't pleased with Eloy's frequent leaves. During the four-month shoot, he had to take leave three or four times each month for business events.

But that's how it was with stars—lots of business engagements, many of which were contractually obligated.

However, the director was satisfied with Eloy's humility. Although Eloy didn't graduate from a professional acting school and had always been singing and dancing, his acting had noticeably improved during this shoot.

Despite his inexperience, his performance didn't seem overly contrived. This was a good sign, making him easy to direct, and he was humble.

Even if he took leave during the day, he would make up for the scenes at night.

"Ms. Teeger, I heard you're from Vachilit. A friend of mine is also from Vachilit, from the old town. He came to visit me and brought a lot of Vachilit's specialty desserts. Would you like to try some?"

"Thanks, but no need. I'm going back this weekend anyway."

Eloy smiled, "Vachilit is quite far from here. Going back takes up almost the entire day. It's pretty tiring. I have a custom-made neck pillow that helps with neck recovery. Why don't you take it with you on your flight back? It won't strain your neck while you sleep."

Natalie was taken aback for a moment. Eloy had his assistant bring over the neck pillow, and Natalie had to smile and say, "Thank you."

She actually needed it.

On the side, Rocco pursed his lips. This Eloy was really something.

He actually managed to give her a gift.
