Even Melissa showed up with Rachel in tow.
Melissa strolled over with a glass of champagne to say hi to Cassidy. Cassidy grinned, and they exchanged some small talk.
Cassidy checked out Rachel, who was standing next to Melissa, and she was pretty impressed. Rachel looked about the same age as Yancy. The Howard family was a big deal, and the Reynolds family wasn't too shabby either. If Rachel and Yancy hit it off, Cassidy would be thrilled.

Cassidy beamed, "So, you're Rachel, right? Nice to meet you. You're absolutely stunning."
Rachel smiled back, "Thanks, Aunt Cassidy." She handed over a gift box, "Happy birthday, Aunt Cassidy. I got you a little something."
Lucy, who was standing next to Cassidy, took the box.
Most people at the party either handed their gifts to the servant at the door or, if they were close to Cassidy, gave them to her directly, and she'd have her servant take it with a polite thank you.
But this time, Cassidy had Lucy open the gift box right there. Inside was a pearl necklace.
Cassidy's jewelry box was already packed with at least 20 fancy pearl necklaces.
Right then, Cassidy was wearing a gemstone necklace worth $15 million. She took it off and put on the one Rachel gave her. "Thank you, I love it."
This got a lot of people talking.
Some folks thought Cassidy was trying to butter up the Howard family.
Melissa smiled, "As long as you like it."
Rachel turned to Melissa, "Melissa, I'm gonna go find my friends. Enjoy your chat."
"Sure, go ahead. Young folks like to hang out with each other. Talking with us oldies is boring. Go on," Melissa said.
Cassidy watched Rachel walk away and asked Melissa, "Mrs. Murphy, does Rachel have a boyfriend?"
Melissa caught on that Cassidy was interested in Rachel. "Even though I'm Rachel's aunt, I don't really know much about her personal life."
"Mrs. Murphy, we've done business together a lot and know each other well. I'll be straight with you. I really like Rachel." Cassidy's situation with her illegitimate son was no secret in their circle.
The Reynolds family's original two sons, one ended up in a coma, and the other was a total slacker.
The future of the Reynolds Group was in Cassidy's son's hands. Even though he was an illegitimate son, once he had power and money, no one would care about that anymore.
