Chapter 620 Bribing Ava
Avery's face softened a bit after hearing Alice, but she still gave her a stern warning, "Stay away from Rosalie from now on. Remember what I told you when you were a kid?"
Since Alice was a kid, Rosalie had always been super nice to Alice, which really bugged Avery.
Avery was worried Rosalie was just playing Alice, 'cause she definitely didn't have good intentions. Rosalie might be cozying up to Alice just to mess with Avery.
Alice quickly grabbed Avery's hand. "Mom, I remember. Plus, as a Cullen, there's no way I'd get close to someone like Rosalie."
"Good," Avery finally relaxed a bit.
Meanwhile, folks online were buzzing about this whole thing.
[Looks like they're actually tight. Maybe we had Alice all wrong.]
[Yeah, for a rich girl like her to take care of Natalie's mom, she must be genuine.]
Elsewhere, Ava said, "Aiden, maybe we should go somewhere else. This place is crazy expensive."
They were in Vachilit, a famous luxury shopping spot, a place Ava never even dreamed of visiting.
"It's our first time meeting. I can't give you a cheap gift," Aiden said, striding inside.
Aiden was rocking a sharp suit today, looking all energetic and dashing.
Ava shyly held his arm. "Aiden, just call me Ava."
Aiden smiled and then asked, "Ava, how did you meet Frank?"
"Well, Frank..." Ava frowned a bit, not really wanting to talk about him.
Mainly 'cause Aiden was way better than Frank—rich, stylish, and generous. Ava was trying hard to downplay the fact that she was Frank's girlfriend, but she couldn't dodge Aiden's question.
Ava decided to just go with it and casually said, "We met at a party, like, five years ago."
Aiden said, "That's quite a while."
Ava clung to Aiden's arm and pouted. "That's all in the past."
Aiden got what Ava was hinting at. Ava was young, beautiful, and full of life. As a mature man, Aiden couldn't resist her charms, especially when her chest brushed against his arm as he walked her home, during which he had been supressed his physical reaction from that mere touch.
Aiden took Ava to a jewelry store and bought her a necklace and earrings, dropping over thirty grand. Ava's eyes lit up with joy. "Thanks, Aiden. You're so sweet."
Aiden told the sales assistant, "Put them on her."
Ava was dressed decently today, but it was still a bit too plain to match the jewelry. Aiden then took her to a nearby clothing store and bought her a Chanel outfit.
Ava was thrilled by the price.
This outfit cost over eighty grand.
How did Frank know such rich friends?
Aiden noticed Ava's expression and knew the timing was right. He asked, "Ava, do you like it?"
Ava said, "You bought it for me, of course, I like it. You've given me such an expensive gift; how can I accept it?"
Aiden asked, "As long as you like it. Ava, where are you staying now? Living with Frank?"
