Chapter 634 Took the Wrong One
Alice never thought she'd end up shooting herself in the foot like this. Trying to keep it together, she snapped, "What's it to you? Stay out of my business. And for the record, I never said that pearl necklace was for Rosalie. I grabbed the wrong one."
"You grabbed the wrong one?" Bella shot back. "Then what were you planning to give? Show us." She turned to the reporter behind her. "Make sure you get this on camera. It better not be cheaper than this diamond necklace. She said on Facebook she'd treat Rosalie like family. We'll post the video online later for everyone to see."
Alice stomped her foot. "Don't you dare!"
Bella smirked. "Why wouldn't I? I'll post it as soon as I get back. Let everyone see how your online persona crumbles after this."
Provoked, Alice pulled out a sapphire blue velvet jewelry box from her bag and glared at Bella. "This is the gift I meant for Rosalie. I grabbed the wrong one earlier."
Bella didn't expect Alice to lose her cool so easily. She had come today to expose Alice, but she didn't expect Alice to pull out the rose diamond necklace meant for Avery.
Alice lifted her head proudly, opened the velvet box in front of the camera, revealing the dazzling diamonds inside.
"Rosalie, I grabbed the wrong one earlier. This is the gift I meant for you," Alice said, handing the necklace to Rosalie.
Alice wore a fake smile, but inside, she was fuming.
This rose diamond necklace cost over sixty grand. Alice had planned to give it to Avery to delight her.
And now, she had to give it to Rosalie. Avery wouldn't be delighted about this for sure.
Rosalie looked at it and touched her neck. Why did it look just like the one on her neck? "Alice."
Bella's lips curled into a smile. "What a coincidence! It's the same one Natalie gave."
Alice gritted her teeth and forced a smile. "Yeah, great minds think alike. Natalie and I are good friends, so naturally, we have the same taste."
Bella turned to Rosalie. "Rosalie, you should accept it. Alice got you this gift." She walked over, took the necklace, and placed it in Rosalie's hand. "Rosalie, you must take good care of it. It's a token of Alice's affection. If you don't accept it, she'll be tormented."
Alice's lips twitched. "Yes, Rosalie, you should keep it."
Bella walked over, took Alice's hand, and with a concerned look said, "Alice, I'm really sorry. I got you wrong. I thought you were going to give Rosalie a cheap pearl necklace. I thought that couldn't be right. After all, you and Natalie are so close now. Natalie gave Rosalie a diamond necklace, so how could you give a cheap pearl necklace? It must have been a mistake."
"Yeah, I grabbed the wrong one. Glad we cleared that up." Alice resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
At this moment, Alice wished she could tear Bella's face apart.
Bella knew exactly what Alice was thinking. She took Alice's hand and turned to Rosalie, saying, "Rosalie, have a good rest. We shall leave you."
