Chapter 352 You Have a Very Unique Taste

Natalie walked slowly while Raymond sped up to catch her. He honked. "Hey, I asked my mom about that birthmark thing. Don't you want to know?"

Natalie stopped, got in the car, but sat in the back seat.

Raymond glanced at her in the rearview mirror. "Shouldn't you be resting during the day with your night shifts?"

Natalie checked the time. "I got off early last night and woke up early. Are we really going to talk about shifts? That's pointless."

Raymond hit the gas, causing Natalie, who hadn't buckled up, to lurch forward and bump her head. She rubbed her forehead. "Childish trick."

Raymond laughed. "Where to?"

Natalie didn't have a destination. Normally, she'd be home or out with Bella, but Bella was busy with the Reynolds family. Feeling restless, she said, "Just drop me at the next intersection."

Raymond sensed something was up. "Bad mood?"

Natalie stayed silent, staring out the window, lost in thought.

Raymond found Natalie familiar since they met. She was beautiful, but it wasn't just that. He'd dreamt of her several times, feeling a strange sense of familiarity. He was comfortable with her presence.

He stopped the car in a mall's underground parking lot. "Want to watch a movie?"

"Now?" Natalie checked the time—10:20 AM.

Raymond nodded. "Movie, then lunch. Sounds good?"

Natalie looked at him for a moment, then agreed.

In the theater, Natalie bit her lip. "A horror movie at 10:30 AM? Interesting choice, Mr. Newman."

Raymond shrugged. It was the only movie with available seats; the comedies were sold out.

The movie turned out to be a suspenseful horror film, pretty good. Natalie noticed Kevin was one of the directors. She liked his work for its detailed character exploration.

After the movie, Raymond looked pale, but Natalie was fine. The plot was tight, logical, and layered. She rated it 7 out of 10.

Natalie teased, "Scared, Mr. Newman?"
